| We Are The Winning
Intelligence Behind Racing & Winning |
We are the only professional motorcycle college
in the world. We offer two & four year degrees in Motocross
& Supercross raci41 and much more. Our curriculum offers
the best raci41 education that money can buy.
The objective of our college is to provide you with the quality
education necessary to enable you to become highly successful
in your raci41 goals and career.
What are you going to do with your racing? This is a question
no other school or college can answer. |
| Our Racing College |
We are not a two or four day riding class.
We have a well-designed and developed curriculum that is highly
structured in its presentation. Our curriculum is similar to
those found in grade schools, junior high schools, high schools,
colleges, and professional colleges.
At this time we have 2 & 4 year degree programs and a continuing
education department. We offer all of the training needs in
the many specialized areas that the race teams of today need
to know and apply. This includes a highly successful Safety
Awareness & Counter Measures class.
Our experience has taught us that what separates #1 from the
rest is their education and how well they apply it. Please understand
that although you must be as tough as those in the top stadiums
to compete against them, you must outsmart them to win. A top
quality raci41 program is the best answer and solution to your
raci41 goal. |
| A Growing Problem
In MX |
| We see many kids getting really fast really
quick but never taking the time to acquire the necessary raci41
education. We feel sad for these kids because so many times
they never stay in the sport. Their lack of quality education
and their ability to apply it produces accidents and injuries
that seem to go on and on. Eventually the kid says, "Dad,
please I am tired of getting hurt. I do not want to do this
anymore. Can we please do something else?" Our program
has successfully solved this problem. |
| Our Safety Awareness
Program |
| Our Safety Awareness & Countermeasures
Program has made the most aggressive strides ever taken in the
prevention and elimination of accidents and injuries in our
profession. Our safety program has a current history of reducing
and preventing accidents and injuries by a factor of 25:1. This
means that for every 100 accidents and injuries you were having
before our safety program you will experience 4 following its
completion. By present standards this financial saving alone
is over $2300 a year, just on replaceable bike parts alone.
This figure does not take into consideration any accumulations
of other bills including medical services. It is a fact that
educated riders and their race teams always have fewer problems
to deal with. |
| Your Championship
Map |
When you want to travel to a new place you
purchase a map. A map is a mandatory tool for getting you there.
They have starting points, ending points, and all the landmarks
in between to keep you on course until you learn the route.
Without a map your chances of getting there are slim to none.
Maps are your plan to get there. If you have a map then you
have taken the first step necessary in getting to where you
are headed. Most people do not plan to fail. They just fail
to plan and so never arrive.
We have trained several #1 riders and have made a detailed and
very accurate
map of how to get there successfully. |
| Why Consider
Our College Programs |
Most MX riders and their families get into
raci41 because they love it. And most will never attend any
formal raci41 classes outside that of the 2 and 4 day riding
schools being offered today. Because of this single fact most
riders lack the knowledge to perform like the professional raci41
teams involved in larger raci41 sports like those of Formula
#1, Indicar, or NASCAR. However, when these individuals recognize
this educational lack or deficiency and take the necessary steps
to correct and solve this problem, they advance very quickly
into a higher level of raci41. Quality education always leaves
the raci41 team with fewer problems with which to deal.
Does this sound like something that would interest you? If it
does may I suggest that you find some time to allow us to sit
down and discuss your situation and see how we can create a
map or plan that helps you find the answers and solutions for
you and your race team.

| Quality Education
–Does it make a difference? |
The difference is about:
1. Pricing
2. Benefits
3. Advantages
Pricing Quality Education
Quality education is still your best investment today. It is
always unwise to pay too much. But it’s even worse to
pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money and that’s
all. But when you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything,
because the thing you bought was only an imitation and/or incapable
of doing the thing it was bought to do.
In business the common law of balance (purchase price Vs selling
price) prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It just
cannot be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something
for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough
to pay for something better.
There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make
a little worse and sell a little cheaper. And many people who
consider only the price will always lie prey to these products. |
| Benefits Of
Quality Education |
| So, allow me to ask you this question. Why
is our college important to you? Let’s answer it in this
way. Questions are a very important part of your raci41. The
objective of a question is to find out information that is important
to you and no one else. A very important question is "What
are you want to do with your raci41 career?" This is a
question no other school can answer. |
| Advantage Of
Quality Education |
Do you realize that the lack of quality education
has enslaved you? The individuals and/or companies who run professional
raci41 today can make the race team members and their families
do, act, and behave in a manner in which they want you to do.
When you finally come to this realization you will either start
taking steps to break out or give up and give in to a way of
living life that you have enslaved by.
One of the biggest and best-kept raci41 secrets every kept is
the concept of unlimited thinking, performances, and life style.
When you do not know or understand how or why something works
you will always remain a slave to its control and influences.
However, when you start the learning process and reach a point
where you now understand the whys and how about why something
works you transform yourself form its slave to its master and
controller.
In the pursuit of learning why and how things work you will
be required to learn their laws, rules, and guidelines so that
you know when you can bend or break them.
There are many laws, rules, and guidelines that you are required
to learn and master but the ones of greatest importance are
the ones that the universe has set-up and established to run
the universe, you included. Quality education is the only pathway
that can take you from enslavement to its owner and master.
We are a professional motorcycle college that offers far more
than just a two and four year raci41 degree in off-road Motocross
(MX) and Supercross (SX) raci41. Our specially designed curriculum
offers the best raci41 education that money can buy. We are
going to encourage you to take your riding and raci41 gift,
train and develop it, and let it take you as far as it can.
Our Advanced Educational Program
Is a student self-directed program that’s custom fitted
to each rider. This system allows the students to learn at their
fastest possible rate. Routinely, our students learn a year’s
worth of material in two to three months. |
| College Quarter
Program |
Our well-structured college quarter system
advances your knowledge and raci41 skill levels very rapidly
and effectively.
Our comprehensive curriculum is complete with course syllabuses
that are supported by our individual courses; classroom and
laboratory practice range lesson plans, as well as teaching
guidelines and presentations. We prefer a student to faculty
ratio of 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 however we will never exceed a student
to faculty ratio of 6 to 1.
We are using a college 10-week Quarter System . The summer
quarter will be condensed and shortened to 8-weeks long due
to the raci41 schedule in the first week of August.
Our weekly class schedules will be as follows:
1. Classes (lecture & riding Labs) will be held Monday through
Friday 09:30 am through 4:30 pm.
2. Each day will be filled with a complete schedule of the items
necessary to start training you for your
raci41 career and championship.
3. You will start off riding our bikes but shortly after will
be required to ride your own race bike.
4. On a few Saturdays and possibly Sundays you will be required
to attend open race track practices at
local race track as well as compete in raci41 event to
complete each quarter's class requirements.
Each quarter is structurally designed in a step-by-step building
block format making learning easy and fast. Each step adds to
the next one and so one down the line. Each class will have
classroom study along with laboratory practice range study and
application, and pre and post homework assignments.
Our internet and home study programs including reading course
materials, listening, and actual home study practice application.
You will have specific books on the subject matter, home study
guides that you answer as you do the work.
Our riding and raci41 practice labs are specifically designed
to give you immediate feedback of doing the skill level correctly
or not. Our practice labs greatly minimize any risk factors
of accident or injury. Remember to take our raci41 labs very
serious as they are designed around the concept of "Threshold
Speeds". That is to say they will allow you grow, develop,
and evolve and reach the level of "at or near the 100%
level". Without these practice labs your skill levels are
just accidents looking for places to happen. Our practice lab
program, along with our other well-structured safety awareness
program not only will reduce your accident and injury frequency
to a very low percentile but also will allow you to experience
just how fast you really are.
Our Internet program will fill up any remaining time not presently
scheduled in your daily class studies.
We designed each part of our riding and raci41 program to become
an accurate piece of the overall puzzle. As you will learn each
piece of the raci41 puzzle, by its self, do not make since until
you see and understand the overall raci41 picture they are constructed
to make. Once you see the overall raci41 picture you will be
able to make since out of what is seemingly senselessness.
When you start your training with us you will go through a learning
doorway, which inter into a completely different kind of thinking
and application world. I know you will really enjoy our program.
It is a highly advanced form of learning and at a level and
rate beyond that of what you are used to. So, come into our
program with no expectations and plan to have a good time and
participate fully.
Think of what you will learn as a very very large meal. Like
every meal it is consumed one bite at a time. And when you get
full, put it down and wait until you get hungry again before
you start eating more of the raci41 material meal. . Remember,
we have all the time in the world so you will not have to rush
or hurry. Just take your time and you will enjoy each bite.
We accept students from 7-years of age and above even if they
are still in grade school, junior high, high school, or college. |
| Quarter Matriculation |

| The Story Of
The Frog |
There once was a group of frogs that were
traveling through the woods, when all of a sudden, two of them
fell into a deep pit. The other frogs, at the top, gathered
around and looked down into the pit where their two friends
had landed. After looking around and seeing how deep the pit
was, they told the unfortunate two frogs at the bottom that
there was no way out. They would never get out of this pit.
It was too deep.
But the two frogs ignored the comments from above and tried
to jump up and out of the pit. However, the other frogs kept
telling them to stop, there was no way out. It was no use in
trying that they were as good as dead.
Finally, one of the two frogs took heed to what the other frogs
were saying and simply gave up. He just fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could.
Once again, the crowd of frogs at the top yelled at him to stop.
Stop all of this foolishness and pain and suffering that he
was going through and just accept what was happening and lie
down and die, like his friend did. To the surprise of the all
frogs at the top he began jumping even harder and harder and
finally made it out.
And as he jumped away from the edge of the deep pit, the other
frogs came over to him and asked him, "Didn’t you
hear us?" "We told you that, "There was no way
out"? "Why did you continue jumping? The frog explained
to them that he was hard of hearing and he just thought they
were encouraging him to do his best and try again, the entire
time.
Lessons From The Frog Who "Made it"
As a student this story teaches you two valuable lessons.
1. First, there is power of success and failure in the words
that come from the mouths of others. Which you chose to believe
is all up to you. Remember, an encouraging word allows the impossible
to happen when the individual’s spirits are lifted. Lifting
the spirit keeps the individual focused on what they are doing
and encouraging them to be successful. Remember an encouraging
word helps each of us make it through another day.
2. And a destructive word creates the stage of failure by killing
the love the individual has for our sport. Remember to speak
success, not failure, to those who cross your path.
The power of words...
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) teaches us that words, like
cars and guns, have power. It is how we choose to use this power
that creates our direction in life. It is sometimes hard to
understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way or
create a new road of success. Anyone who speaks words that enriches
the love a spirit has for our sport encourages that individual
to continue even when times are very demanding, difficult, or
hard and become successful. Special are the individuals who
take the time to encourage the love of others. |
| Always Be The
Student |
| You have a lot to education to learn and
absorb then to learn how to apply it wisely. And there is always
more to learn. Keep the attitude of always wanting to be a student
close to you and you will always succeed at what ever you do. |
| To You From
Me |
I can share with you that fact that every
champion I knew who was a champion truly loved our sport. It
is the underlying roots of their success and will be yours too.
For you I would strongly suggest that you search until you find
your gift. That is to say find your natural talent in
this life. Then exercise and develop it until it is finely honed
and tuned. Only in this way can you ever evolve to your
highest level of self-perfection in riding and raci41.
As you get deeper into your walk through life you will come
to know the above statement as the truth.
Only you can move your finger therefore only you to take your
raci41 gift, train and develop it, then allow it to take you
to a place where you never knew you always wanted to go. |
| Success Clue |
| If you are a future champion then know that
you are one right now, you have always been one and you will
always be one. And when you start training your raci41 gift
you will learn that you shall know your way to the top as if
being born to it. |
| To The Parents |
We all want our children to be successful.
I know of no one in motocross who doesn’t. Parents express
this fact in their eyes, voice tones, body gestures, and actions.
And since actions have always spoken louder than words it is
without question what the parent’s primary purposes are.
Knowing this, I would like to share some more success clues
and avenues for you, the parent, to consider.
There are many avenues that will lead you to success. Mentorship,
duplication of services, formal education and its constructive
applications are among the most common. But the one that is
most oftentimes overlooked or neglected is the"Common Factors"
shared by all who are successful. Looking back in motocross
history you can begin to review these common factors shared
by such riders as Bobby Hannah, Jeff Ward, Ricky Johnson, and
David Bailey.
Once you have studied and discovered their common factors you
can then apply the success principles found in duplication of
services. And it is a good bet that if these factors were successful
for these riders they will be successful for you, as well. Next,
let’s look at one such common factor shared by all the
above riders.
Let’s start off by reviewing a success statement, "The
choices you make dictate the outcomes of your success experiences.
But also remember that the choices you don’t make will
also dictate the outcomes of your successes. It is most importantly
to recognize in this last statement is that it is those choices
that you don’t know to make that will also dictate your
successes, as well." And it has always been my experiences
to witness that it is these choices that you don’t know
to make that are the ones that cause you your greatest set backs.
Let’s continue by discussing one of those times. A time
period which is not viewed as a major transition period from
your amateur raci41 team.
One of the most important transition period in raci41 that the
parent must make is that time period following amateur raci41
when their rider advanced into top Pro raci41 ranks and earns
enough points to obtain a "Two Digit" Pro number.
I know that all of the sponsors, factories, and support teams
are watching all of the amateur levels for eventual rider selection.
But if you are raci41 primarily to be selected you are wasting
your time and money. They want you only if you perform and for
no other reason. And if they can associate their product with
your performances their sales goes up. And for that privilege
they are willing to pay you.
Top Pro raci41 is so drastically different than amateur racing
it is like comparing checkers to chess. I know that they both
use motocross bikes, race the same tracks, use the same riders,
but the rules that govern the two are completely different.
If you applied amateur rules to top Pro raci41 you will finish
last. I have personally experienced this relationship several
times, some riders followed my advice and some didn’t.
The ones, who did, became very successful while those who did
not, never did. This information will be easier to tell in story
form so at this time I would like to share one of those actual
experiences with you.
This story has its beginning in mid 1987 at the Miami Supercross.
Gary Bailey and I were working with Keith Bowen, a 250 Pro rider
for team Yamaha. Following one of the 125 qualifiers Gary came
over and informed me that one of Yamaha’s 125 riders had
fallen and hurt his shoulder and ask if I would take a look
at it. The shoulder injury ended that particular race for this
young rider but it marked the beginning of our relationship
and major changes to come in his life. He came to my office
and home in South Carolina following that race where we worked
on and fixed his shoulder injury but more importantly we started
planning his raci41 career and championship. And as we became
better friends I began sharing success clues, stories, and plans
that would reflect his situations and probably involve his next
moves. The road to any championship is difficult if you don’t
know the way but a lot of fun if you do.
I told this young rider that there were going to be many many
new changes coming up for him as we started down his championship
road. Some changes would be absolutely necessary, some would
be optional, and a lot more had to be completely ignored or
definitely passed by. I continued by saying that the ones that
had to be ignored were the false turns in his success road and
obstacles placed in his path, all of which would take him off
course. The choices that he had to make may question his belief
system but, never the less, had to be made if he was to stay
on course. The ones that were optional may or may not matter
but if we were in question we would discuss them before deciding
the best direction. But, never the less, all new changes, the
choices they offered, and how best to chose would be discussed
separately as each one came-up. One of the success stories I
shared with him reflected one of his necessary changes. The
story is called "The Young Bird". This situation is
a necessary change for any rider planning his championship.
Oh yes, by the way, this rider’s name is Jeff Stanton.
The Young Bird Story
Once there was this little bird named Charlie who lived in a
beautiful nest high up in an oak tree with his brothers and
sisters. His parents were very good to all of them. They fed
them, bathed them, and cared for them in all the regular ways
all parents naturally do. And as a family they were very close.
The children in the bird family started growing and before long
the small baby birds were almost all grown up. And as they did
they noticed that the nest, which once was large and had a lot
of room kept growing smaller and smaller. Charlie’s older
brother would jump out of the nest and walk along the large
branch the nest rested on high up in the tree. You could see
all over the meadow from where they lived. They could see all
the different farming animals in the meadow. There were cows
and chickens and goats and ground hogs that had their homes
in and under the ground. Charlie was learning a lot about life
in the meadow just by watching it from his home high up and
safe in the oak tree.
One day Charlie’s older brother, while on the branch,
spread his wings and began flapping them. He discovered that
when he brought his wings down his body would get light and
go up into the air and he could almost fly. He decided it was
time to go off on his own and jumped from the branch and flew
away. As he glided towards the ground he discovered his wings
were not strong enough to lift his back up into the air and
so he was forced to land in the meadow. After the landing he
yelled back up to Charlie that he was OK.
As the sun had started down and the night air began to cool,
Charlie’s older brother starting getting cold. He complained
to Charlie that he was cold. And just as he began speaking to
Charlie a cow, who also lived in the meadow, dropped a large
amount of cow pie on him. And although it was uncomfortable
and smelly it was warm and he slept through the night.
The next morning Charlie was up early and again watching his
brother who was still asleep down in the meadow. As the morning
went by another animal who was just passing through saw the
young bird’s distress and came over and asked if he could
be of some assistance. The warm and wet material the cow had
dropped on him the night before had became hardened and dry.
And he was having a hard time moving and getting up and around.
So he said "Thank you" to the passing stranger, "I
would appreciate your help". The passer-by helped the young
bird out of the cow material and brushed and cleaned him off
and then ate him.
There was absolutely nothing that young Charlie could have done
to change that outcome of his older brother but he had learned
a lot just by observing the experience of life from the nearby
nest. He learned that just because someone craps on you it doesn’t
mean they are trying to hurt or bring harm to you. And just
because someone is willing to help and assist you climb up and
out and rise yourself up doesn’t mean they have your best
interest at heart. So Charlie learned that you had to be careful
with everyone until you knew what to expect from him or her
and their behavior and how you could trust them. He had learned
to only enter into a relationship that all concerned could benefit
from, a "Win-Win" situation.
Charlie continued watching life out in the meadow from the nest
and branches high up in the oak tree. He would flap his wings
and fly around the branches in the tree but would never venture
out into the meadow. As time passed he spent more and more time
on the branches flying and watching and learning. One day he
realized that he could no longer live his life by watching it
from the nest, he realized that he had to get out in it and
experience it for himself. He knew, what he had to learn, about
himself and others, could only be accomplished by experiencing
life out on his own. And this would require him to make his
own choices and decisions, be responsible for them, and learn
how to make the corrections necessary to stay on course towards
his championship.
One evening he sat down and drew up and designed his plan. He
started with what he knew and then listed those things he had
already learned. He knew that his mother and father and brothers
and sisters loved him very much. And he felt the same way towards
them, as well. But he had this strong feeling deep down inside
him driving him towards this secret goal that only he knew.
He knew he was longing for and seeking this adventure and all
of the unexplored opportunities that came with it. He knew there
were things he had to do that required him to leave the safety
of his home high-up in the meadow oak tree and venture out on
his own and find his new way. He needed to, not only to find
himself but also find out what he wanted to do with his life
and find the route that would take him there. He knew that no
one could accurately predict what was going to happen tomorrow
but you could be very well prepared for it. He also knew that
if he had a plan to follow today it would take him into tomorrow
and in the direction where he wanted to go with his life. So
he packed up his things, kissed his family good-by, and flew
away into his future.
Charlie, over the years, always stayed in touch with his family.
Some of his brothers and sisters moved away, like he did. And
some stayed in the area near the large oak tree in the middle
of the meadow. Some got married and had children of their own.
And he noticed that his mom and dad were just as good as grandparents
as they were as parents. But then again, he was seeing life
through his eyes. Then he remembered, from his observations,
that nature intended each individual to experience all of the
stations in their journey through life. He knew that some day
he would be a father and then later on - a grandfather. But
that was going to be in tomorrow’s future. Today’s
future is being successful at following the path he felt so
strongly driven to do.
He remembered a conversation he had had a long time ago with
an older friend who lived in a near by tree. His friend said
to him, "What are you planning to do now?" Charlie
said, "I’m moving out". Then his friend said,
"Moving out is the brave thing to do." Charlie thought
for a moment and then responded, "You are such a liar –
but thank you." Charlie’s friend spoke again this
time saying "No, what I mean is that you are daring to
imagine that you could have a different life. A life in which
only you know what it is. Oh, I know that it doesn’t feel
that way to you right now. But you are daring to march into
the unknown armed with only what you know you want. And this
first step may even make you feel a little unsure and like you
were going to fail. But remember all change initially brings
with it a sense of disorientation and unsureness. And like all
new changes in life, any newness requires a break-in time to
get started and comfortable with your life in a new direction.
Be patient and follow your heart. It knows where you are going.
Allow it control the helm of your boat and let it take you in
the direction life has always intended for you."
Jeff’s Decision
Jeff, if you are going to be successful at the things you really
want you must do them from your own ship. You must now learn
to be that captain. I’m not asking you to give up any
relationship you have with your family or friends. But you have
come to a cross road in your life that demands that you chose
a direction. That is to say you must chose between yesterday
and tomorrow. Pick one and stick with it. And remember this,
"I’ll still be your friend and if you pick tomorrow
I will coach you through to victory".
So Jeff moved out of his father and mother’s home and
found his own place. Later, Mr. Stanton, Jeff’s father,
came over and privately ask me if it was my idea for Jeff to
move out and find his own place. I said no but it was my strong
recommendation. Mr. Stanton asked me why and I told him that
if Jeff is going to win a championship his only chance is as
the caption of his own ship. And, at this time, he does not
know how to do that so I advised him to take this first step
towards his championship.
About two weeks later Mr. Stanton again talked to me in private
and asked, "Where do I fit into Jeff’s championship?
I know that without you he will not win. Without you he has
very little to no change. I know that you are steering his boat
until he learned how to do it for himself. How can I help or
do I just go home and forget the hole thing?" I replied,
"Thank you for being so honest with me. It’s been
a long time since someone has displayed that quality of integrity
to me. The questions that I’m asking myself about our
relationship are, "Can we work together? Will it be possible?
How best can we work together? And if we cannot work together
then I will ask you to step down and step away. But if you can
over come those obstacles that get in the way of Jeff’s
path we may have a chance at it. If we can’t - we won’t.
My suggestion is that we take each day one step at a time. Let
me start our new relationship by saying, "Take me as you
find me and I will do the same foryou". Forget my titles,
accomplishments, and anything what would cause you to feel inferior
or excluded. We can’t afford any undesirable emotions
that could accidentally shift our focus and our course direction.
This idea may help you, "Remember to focus on Jeff’s
goals and do those things necessary to allow him to walk that
path. But most importantly we must do these things as a team,
as a unit, not by alone or by our self."
Mr. Stanton allow me to explain my position to you in this way.
I have been at the top and stayed there twice before, once with
David Bailey and once with Ricky Johnson. I don’t tell
you this to impress you but rather to impress upon you that
I know how to get there and how to stay there. In other words
I know where all the turns are and I know where all the obstacle
are, as well. And I also know how this level of raci41 works
and how to get through or around its barriers. I know what it
takes from the riders and I know how to extract what is necessary
from those riders who I think can make it. Becoming a champion
is difficult. Becoming number one is even more difficult. There
has never been a father-son championship race team who ever
made it. It may be possible but in my experience it is just
not probable. Many patents have caused their sons to self-destruct
once they had reached this level of raci41. It’s not that
they don’t love their sons, they do. It is just that they
have little to no experience of raci41 at this level of competition.
At this level of racing, it you’re thinking is not clear
and focused, it is extremely easy to misdirect or misguide the
rider. That is why most factories are not interested in father-son
raci41 teams. If the rider is going to have a chance at making
it, it must be on his own. He must leave the nest. I know that
in the military when an officer gets a promotion he is transferred
to another base where no one knows anything about him. So in
a since, you can consider the rider’s advancement into
the Pro ranks like a military promotion.
And another problem that arises in the father-son relationship
at this level is that as the son grows older the patents become
less and less of an authority figure to him. No one has ever
made sense of this fact but it is a part of the growing-up,
letting go, and separation process.
I need you on the team Mr. Stanton. You know Jeff a lot better
than I. You know his body gestures, voice tones, and mood swings.
Sometimes you will know things about Jeff’s attitudes,
behavior, or intent long before I do. Knowing these early cues
about him are very important pieces of information for me. I
need to know them as soon as possible if I am going to be successful
in helping guide and coach him to steer his boat to victory.
So, when you notice these please tell me as soon as possible
and allow me to make the changes necessary to keep him on course.
Another very important point to mention here is that history
has shown us that what has taken years to build can be destroyed
in seconds. So, if you want Jeff to know something about raci41
it must go through me. No exceptions. And I will be the judge
on how, when, or if something is to be said to him. No exceptions.
Just a wrong look, blink of your eyes, head drop, or any careless
or misdirected body posture, gesture, or voice tone can destroy
in Jeff’s mind what has taken me days, weeks, or even
months to put there. In raci41 it is his attitude, behavior,
and intent that makes the difference in his performance not
his tricked out bike or factory mechanics. If his mind is not
properly tuned, neither is his raci41 skill levels or his racing
performances. His mind has to be just so - to win. To be able
to create and do this is a skill level very few possess. I can’t
afford any intentional or careless acts of insubordination by
you or any other family member. Jeff’s career depends
upon this conditional clause.
So, Mr. Stanton as you can see I consider you a very important
member of Jeff’s raci41 team but you are only an observer
and an advisor who reports only to me. "Do you understand
how important my requests are? And are these conditions fair
enough for you? Can you live with them?" "Yes",
said Mr. Stanton, "I will do my best." And the rest
is now history. To date Mr. Stanton is the best raci41 father
I have ever worked with. Thank you Erwin.
Let me conclude this chapter with this short summery. I have
seen many riders’ come and go. Some could have made it
with the proper coaching. Other should have stayed home. And
it is not always clear to us who can make it - or who will make
it. The reason is because those pathways have not been determined
yet. You see some rider’s lives form a perfect circle
while others take shapes in ways we can’t predict or always
understand. Victory and loss has been a part of my Motocross
journey. But it has also shown me what is precious and has everlasting
value. So has this love of our sport for which I can only be
grateful. I hope this helps your and your race team create better
opportunities for your success. |
