After you read this chapter may I suggest that you read the
additional Diapulse chapters listed in the upper left hand
column of this page. They are my own personal collection
on Diapulse information. Some of them are very
graphic so if you have a weak stomach what ever you do, do
not look at those color photographs.
To all motorcycles riders
If you are not using Diapulse for your treatments - you’re
not getting the best care you can get. It has been my personal
experience over the 15 years I toured with the riders on the
motocross and Supercross raci41 circuits that nothing ever
beats the Diapulse. In all of its health care competition
no one was ever competitive against it. They always finished
a distant second - at best. Diapulse works great on any and
all injuries you have or will have. For more information on
Diapulse or to see how you can get one see the address at
the bottom of this article.
What Is The Diapulse
The Diapulse produces radio waves, which are pulsed by a high
peak power electromagnetic energy field, which is comfortable,
but more importantly, safe to be used on any part of the body.
The patient will feel nothing during its treatment. The Diapulse
has no known contra-indications and the FDA has approved it
for Post-Operative Edema. In other words, you can use the
Diapulse over an area just following surgery. Wow, is that
impressive. No other therapy in the world can make this claim.

Diapulse heals through the Cast
Remember this about the Diapulse - Diapulse is not a Diathermy.
Diathermy produces a deep-heat that can easily exceed the
body’s healing temperature limits causing more problems.
Diapulse is a non-thermal (no heat) electromagnetic healing
energy waves (see the double blind study on the "Pearl
Chain Effect") therefore its therapeutic wave always
remains well within the body’s healing temperature limits.

Diapulse can be used over the head and face
Diapulse can also be used directly over metal implants, all
body organs and all parts of the body. It is designed
for safety.
Diapulse History
The Diapulse was invented in the early thirties by two men
named A. J. Ginsberg, a medical doctor, and Arthur Milinowski,
a physicist. They knew that the body worked on, and was stimulated
by, electromagnetic fields. They also knew that the body had
twenty-two different types of tissue, each responding to its
own specific radio frequency. They wanted to be able to generate
an ultra short-wave therapeutic magnetic field that would
not produce heat (non-thermal) and came up with the ideal
to pulse the field. Also, it had to have the ability to be
tuned throughout (from below to above) the twenty-two different
tissue frequencies of the body. This unique tuning applicator
allows the patient to be tuned to the resonance of the electromagnetic
field produced by the Diapulse.
What I have Witnessed
In my twenty-five years of treating patients with Diapulse,
the amazing and most impossible disease processes have become
the expected cures. The most difficult cases become easy help
and manage with its special therapeutic treatment procedure.
Each time I witnessed some, seemingly incurable problem, watching
it heal is like personally experiencing another "Miracle"
health cure. Broken bones that normally take many months to
years to routinely heal themselves, heal within days. And
in follow-up examinations, x-rays clearly show the bone structure
to have undergone "Plastic Regeneration"
not aplastic deformation. That is to say very little to no
scar tissue forms. I even know of a research file about a
lady in England who lost the first joint on her right hand
pinkie finger. Following an experimental treatment protocol
procedure with Diapulse the missing part grew back (remember
Dr. Becker’s work with frog amputations - see "Electromagnetic
Field" in this section of our library). The
missing section that grew back was in a rudimentary state,
but it grew back. How do you like those apples? This is the
direction we need to be "Practicing", not prescribing
harmful chemical poisons (drugs) and performing highly questionable
surgeries so someone can get and stay rich. Isn’t it
amazing how surgery has escalated from approximately 1 to
2% usage in the early 1950’s to over 30% today? And
drugs – they has escalated to well over 80% usage in
the US today. It is no wonder our children are having so many
drugs related problems today. The reason I say we need to
be practicing a lot more electromagnetics is because I have
personally witnessed over and over again the amazing "Miracle-Like"
healing abilities of the body when under their influence.
Diapulse is credited with saving thousand and thousands of
amputations, whether diabetic or other underlying conditions.
Why isn’t this fact routinely known and even more routinely
found within our health centers and hospitals? Now –
doesn’t that make you stop and think about our beloved
health care system?
Another important fact worth mentioning here is the 1976 Los
Angeles surgeon’s strike. In 1976 the surgeons in Los
Angeles went on strike. During this striking time period the
weekly hospital death rates dropped significantly below normal
for the first time in many many years. Analysis of this highly
unusual phenomena attributed the hospital death rate drop
was due to the "unnecessary operations that were not
being performed. Keep in mind that all necessary surgeries,
including Emergency surgery went on unchanged, only the elective
surgery were stopped, altogether.
Upon making this data public about hospital death rates dropping
due to the unnecessary operations and surgeries, the surgeons
immediately ended their strike and when back to work. Any
additional data collected was kept quiet and the surgeons
went back to full practice. And guess what? The hospital death
rates once again rose and have been climbing ever since. Remember
these statistics were made public back in 1976. Wouldn’t
it be interesting to compare those figures of 1976 to today’s
figures?
Surgery Without Surgery
How about if I shared with you that our technology in Electromagnetics
has found ways to do surgery without doing surgery. This technology
allows the body to remove the unwanted or unnecessary problems
through its own "God " given means. Isn’t
this a neat invention – "Doing surgery without
the need for surgery". If you would like to learn more
about this read "#3" in the "Study 3"
Double Blind Studies
The Diapulse is the most double blind studied piece of therapeutic
equipment ever invented. And every time the studies showed
the same unbelievable and remarkable successful results. It
doesn't have any contraindications and the FDA has approved
it for postoperative edema and swelling. That may not sound
impressive but the FDA has never approved any piece of therapeutic
equipment, before or after, to be used over a site of passive
bleeding. But what is most impressive about the Diapulse is
that through all the countless controlled and double blind
studies performed by the best in our health fields, it emerged
as a superior piece of health care equipment. Why is it still
not being used by all that practice in the health care professions,
today? Let's look at just a few of the double blind research
studies done on Diapulse.
In August 24 thru Aug 29 of 1958 the American Congress of
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation presented their finding
of the exposure of diluted milk cells from Thermic and Non-thermic
radio waves. They wanted to learn the effects of radio
wave exposure on living cellular tissues. Milk cells
closely approximate human cells therefore they were the best
choice for this experiment. They used Diathermy
and Ultrasound to induce the thermic radio waves. And they
used high frequency high peak power electromagnetic waves,
more commonly known as Diapulse, to induce the non-thermic
radio waves.
Exhibit A
Exhibit A is a microphotograph normal of milk showing the
random positioning of fat globules in diluted milk prior to
subjection to thermic and non-thermic high frequency oscillation
radio waves
Exhibit B

Treated With Diapulse
Returned To Normal
Exhibit B is a microphotograph of the fat globules after subjection
of Diapulse showing that the globules have assumed a pearl
china formation. This pearl chain formation is also
readily reproducible with blood and lymph cells. The
pearl chain formation allows increase blood without changing
the blood pressure. And when the Diapulse radio wave
as removed the cellular formation returned to normal like
that seen in Exhibit A above.
When they applied thermic radio waves to the same milk solution
they discovered it left irreversible agglomerate patterns
in the mild.
Exhibit C
Permanent tissue damage following Thermic radio waves
Exhibit C is an microphotograph of the fat globules of milk
after subjection to high frequency oscillation radio waves
from a thermic type of apparatus showing that the globules
have assumed an agglomerated pattern indicating irreversible
or permanent tissue damage.
Diapulse Double Blind Research Studies
Study #1
Treatment of Soft-tissue injuries by Pulsed Electrical Energy,
D. H. Wilson, British Medical Journal, 1972, 2, 269-270.
Summary - Twenty pairs of patients matched for sex, age, weight,
and degree of trauma were treated either with an active Diapulse
machine emitting pulsed, high frequency electrical energy
or with a non-active placebo machine. They were examined for
swelling, pain, and disability before treatment and after
three days under double-blind conditions.
ResultsThe results showed that the Diapulse treatment has
a definite biological effect on recently injured soft tissues,
especially in the reduction of pain and disability.

The Following Nerve Regeneration conditions were studied
Peripheral Nerve Tissue Regeneration, Spinal Cord Crush Injuries,
Trauma & Burn Wounds, Plastic Surgery, Hand Injuries,
Rheumatology & Decubitus Ulcers, Brain Edema, Head Trauma,
& Coma.
Conclusion
The accumulated clinical research during the past thirty-four
years with control, double-blind studies performed in universities
and medical centers in many parts of the world demonstrate
the beneficial biological and biophysical effect of non-thermal,
high frequency, pulsed high peak power electromagnetic energy
as delivered by the Diapulse apparatus.
Current research has been in progress for several years in
universities and medical centers in various countries. Preliminary
observations indicate that these studies will expand the applications
of Diapulse.
Diapulse technology has emerged as a valuable tool in clinical
medicine today. Current use provides physicians and surgeons
with a means for adjunctive patient care in cases where edema
is a complication to the healing process. Implications for
future research and applications include:
1. Enhanced recovery time of injuries which normally require
long-term care
2. Reduced use of analgesics and medication without compromising
the patient by side effects
3. Reduction of nursing care due to the ease of application
of this non invasive, unattended therapy with no detriment
to the operator; and
4. A reduction in hospital stay with associated reduction
in hospital costs for patients, the government hospitals,
and insurance companies.

Results
All stages of ulceration, not only healed, but in record healing
times, under the care of Diapulse where the ulceration’s
were not healing under standard or special treatment protocols.
Stage 3 and 4 are the precursors to amputation of that extremity.
They also agreed that the Diapulse was much more cost effective
when compared to any other present day accepted treatments
methods or protocols.
After reading the above public knowledge double-blind studies
one begins to wonder why every hospital and doctors office
are still not equipped with a Diapulse. Are they just not
up-to-date on what's available or are they interested in a
pathway that is just unacceptable to the patient and his or
her family.
I would like to list just a few of the many different types
of controlled and double blind studies performed on Diapulse
treatments and everyone should tremendous improvement over

Approved By Medicare, Medicaid, Champus & The
Joint Commission For Home Care
Here are some more interesting facts about this amazing piece
of therapeutic equipment called the Diapulse. Medicare, Medicaid,
and Champus have approve the use of Diapulse. And the "Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations"
has approved Diapulse for the in home treatments and management
of wounds. You, as a patient, can specifically request Diapulse
treatments by your doctor or hospital. Or you may request
a Diapulse for home usage. And if the hospital or doctor does
not have one, request that they get one. And if they don’t,
go to another doctor or hospital that does have them. As you
have learned from above, it could save you an arm and/or your
leg and even more.

Approved by the Joint Commission
Joint Commission
Being approved by the Joint Commission means that you can
take the Diapulse home with you to perform your daily
treatments rather than having to go to the hospital or doctor's
office for your treatments.
I would like to quote from the Journal Of Insurance Medicine
in their summer issue of 1991, Vol. 23, #2 on "An Actuarial
Report On The Cost Effectiveness of The Diapulse". They
conclude the following. "If we apply a $4,500.00 savings
per ulcer to the estimated prevalence of nursing home residents,
the annual U.S. savings are approximately $2.25 billion. These
savings do not reflect ancillary savings that would derive
from reduced mortality and morbidity. In the later case, more
than 50,000 lower extremity amputations are performed on diabetics
each year at an estimated cost of $500 million as a result
of chronic non-healing wounds.
For those insurance companies entering the Long Term Care
marketplace, further evaluation of the cost savings potential
of Diapulse would appear to offer a possible advantage over
the competition. For those companies involved in managed care
of high cost claims, secondary morbidity costs may be minimized
by addition of Diapulse technology to conventional therapy.
The emergence of electromagnetic medicine may offer cost savings
opportunities in other areas that have been somewhat refractory
to therapeutic approaches devised to date. Wide spread industry
review, including investigation and evaluation of this new
therapeutic modality, may prove to be a worthwhile cost containment
strategy."

There has been a large number of request
to discuss the treatment settings I found to be very effective
when treating a full range of advanced motocross injuries such
as broken bones, spinal vertebral and spinal cord injuries,
head injuries, strokes, coma, tail pipe burns, and skin ulcerations.
All were treated very successfully with Diapulse. Patient
Placement Requirements
Patient comfort comes first, preferably lying down is best as
most patients will go to sleep as the healing process is activated.
However some conditions are treated better when the patient
is sittings up, such as sinus conditions. The patient does not
need to disrobe. They can stay fully dressed as the Diapulse
treating head can be placed directly on the effected area and
the electromagnetic healing rays will go right through the clothing,
sterile dressing, or cast. But remember the treating head
surface must be touching the effected treatment site.
Location Of Treatment
Diapulse treatments can be performed while the patient is lying
on a treatment table, in bed, or sitting in a chair. It
is normal to find the patient sleeping during the treatment
as the body selectively shuts down its normal activities as
its healing processes are activated. Time
Of Treatment
Each treatment time should lasts from 15 to 30 minutes minimum.
However, I have found that the more severe the injury the longer
each treatment time must be. A Diapulse can successfully
treat many patients a day. Treatments involving a severity
level of 4/10 to 6/10 can be treated twice a day (BID) such
as broken bones, spinal core injuries, or skin ulcers.
And remember that twice a day is much better than twice as long.
Treatments requiring three times a day (TID) usually involve
a severity level that ranges from 6/10 to 8/10. Conditions
that range 8/10 and above probably will require many hours per
treatment as the Diapulse's treating electromagnetic field eliminates
the pain, swelling, and discomfort. All broken bones,
spinal cord injuries, and skin ulcers require a minimum of 30
minutes for each treatment. Frequency Of Treatments
Standard treatment protocol dictates the more severe the problem
the more frequent the daily treatment. As a general rule
I have found for more sever conditions who's severity levels
is at or above 4/10 will require at least two treatments daily
(BID). More severe conditions will require three treatments
daily (TID). And all 8/10 and above will require are treated
QID or four times per day.
All healing times are greatly shortened with the correct daily
frequency. QID & Diapulse Power Setting
The Diapulse has two-selected setting for each treatment.
Both are selected and set before the treatment begins.
1. Peak Power
2. Pulse Frequency
1. Peak Power (The Upper Panel)
The Upper panel on the machine is Peak Power. This setting
determines the magnetic wave depth of penetration. The
values range from 1 through 6.
Value
1 is for shallow depths (approximately 1") and value 6
is a maximum penetration depth (approximately 6").
2. Pulse Frequency (The Lower panel)
The Lower Panel on the machine is the Pulse Frequency.
This setting determines the number of electromagnetic energy
pulses per second (pps). The pulse frequency ranges from 80
pps to 600 pps.
Because the duration of each pulse is constant, the intensity
of the total electromagnetic power employed can be varied over
a broad spectrum by correlating the settings of the pulse frequency
with the settings of the peak power output. Power
Setting Chart
1. Peak Power
A. 1, 2, & 3 All Skin Inflammations
= burns, sutures, cuts, abrasions etc.
B. 4, 5, & 6 All Acute thru Chronic
treatments = follow-up post operative treatments, all bony areas,
striated muscles and joints including hands & sinus, striated
muscles, pain, sprains & strain, fractures, swelling, edema,
strokes, heart conditions, comas, skin ulcers. Etc.
2. Pulse Frequency
A. 80 thru 300 = Smooth muscle spasms, acute nerves such as
sciatica, burns, pain,
etc.
B. 400
= All acute inflammatory conditions, injuries (within 24 hours)
or same
day related
C. 500
= Subacute injuries (48 hours on)
D. 600
= All chronic conditions, broken bones, spinal cord injuries,
deep
bruises, strokes, heart conditions, comas, and skin ulcers
Total Number Of Treatments (Guideline)
1. Acute Conditions = Should see results within
1 to 10 treatments
2. Chronic Conditions = Should see results within 10 to 30 treatments
Remember - No treatment under 15 minutes over the affected area.
And the longer the treatment the better the results. The more
severe the problems the longer each treatment time should be.
If the patient is asleep while on the Diapulse do not awake
them and continue the treatment until they wake up on their
own. The body heals at its fastest possible rate during
the sleep phase. Acute Nerve Inflammation Low
back pain, as almost all chronic pain, responds very
well with a Diapulse setting of 6 and 300 or 6 and 400 over
the primary site of actual pain. What Conditions
Can Diapulse Be Used On?
Any and all acute, subacute, & chronic conditions involving
all connective tissue and postoperative edema and pain.
Diapulse can be used safely over any area of the body with no
danger of hyperpyrexia or tissue damage. It can be placed
directly on any cast to heal broken bones. It can be used directly
over metal implants to heal the surrounding tissues. It has
been found to regenerate nerve tissue. And is the only therapy
approved by the FDA to treat an area immediately following surgery.
Contra-Indication = None Warnings
Diapulse should not be used on patients using electronic cardiac
pacemakers or on patients with metallic implants in the area
of application. Hearing aids may have to be removed before
treatment begins.
1. Diapulse should not be used on pregnant or skeletally immature
patients
2. The long-term biologic effect of pulsed electromagnetic energy
is not known at this time. For Additional Diapulse
