General Instructions For Those with No Sicknesses

The purpose and benefits from using a skin brush and hair brush during the bath includes:
1. Activation of the skin's healing mechanism
2. Deeper skin massage and stimulation
3. Acupuncture skin stimulation
4. Faster and better healing response by the body

Remember that the skin brush and hair brush can also be used many times a day outside of the bath therapy to help and assist the body’s healing mechanism.

Epsom Salts
Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulfate (MgSO + 7H2O) and is a vital part of our Prehabilitation Rehabilitation Program (PR-P). Researchers in nutrition, through controlled experimentation, have found that Magnesium Sulfate accelerates the body's healing time by 1/3. As an example, if an injury required three weeks to heal under normal or standard conditions, it would only require two weeks to heal if Magnesium Sulfate was added to the diet as a nutrition. Epsom Salts are used to charge up your body and assist the physical aspect of your body to repair or heal itself and/or to create a higher physical stress envelope.

If you read the package you will learn that you can use it for internal and external applications. Internally, it is used for irregularity and constipation and will promote bowel movement within 21 to 6 hours, if the instructions are followed correctly. Externally, it is used for soaking minor sprains (ligaments), strains (tendons), and bruises (as in muscles). You can apply Epsom salts in two ways, externally.

1. Towel Soaking
By placing 1 cup of Epsom salts in one gallon of water, mix well, and soak a towel or bandage. Next, apply the towel to the involved region or area for 30 minutes, 3 times daily.

2. Bath Tub Soaking
By placing 1 cup per every 60 lbs. of body weight (it is not necessary to exceed 4 cups) in a hot bath tub of water (104 degrees F or less). The water temperature should be as comfortable, but as hot as you can take, for 15 to 20 minutes. You can use 2 to 4 times this amount if your body conditions warrant it. You do not want to burn yourself. You want to rub your skin all over with a wash cloth to open up the pores for absorption of the Epsom salts. If some areas are sore rub them a little longer. If you are treating an injury you should rub both the area of the involved site on one extremity and the same area on the other extremity (bilateral stimulation reflex). In rubbing both extremities you yield a little extra stimulation to the injured site. Don't rinse off before getting out of the bath tub. Just dry off and retire for the evening.

Special Notation:
1.You may want to have some water for drinking near the tub. Hot baths can made you light headed and thirsty.
2. If you want to take a soap bath - do it first, because soap does not work in a salt bath.

Bath Procedure
Epsom salt baths are taken routinely, just before going to bed, the night before a major competitive event or race and just after. It also helps with combating jet lag in conjunction with the Orgone blanket. The bath will allow a more productive and restful sleep as well as produce an energy charging up effect on your body for the next day’s performance. According to nutritional researchers it improves the rate by 33.333%. This means that not only will you body heal faster but sleep productivity will increase. That is to say, if you sleep eight hours, following the Epsom salts-Apple cider vinegar bath, the body productivity would be 8 hrs times 33.333% increase or 10.666 hrs of productivity. The body's performance is that of 10.66 hours of rest and repair. The Orgone blanket will just improve upon this value.

The addition of apple cider vinegar aids this energy charging effect (see below). Epsom salts, apple cider vinegar, and water are very therapeutic and help to prevent problems as well as help to solve them. If needed, the Epsom salt bath can be taken the night following the raci41 event. If you are in doubt, take the bath. Do not rinse-off following the bath, just dry off and go directly to bed. The following morning you should notice that you slept better. Also the aches, stiffness, tightness, soreness, and pains should have noticeably decreased and continue to decrease with normal movement and activities. This indicates that the body's normal healing mechanisms are being activated.

Epsom salt baths may be taken daily, one, twice, or even more to provide the necessary energy levels needed to both recover from injury or illness and charge up extra energy going into high stress levels of mental and/or physical activity. We recommend routine Epsom salt baths weekly as a form of prevention.

The problem I witnessed with the above procedures is that they are so simple and easy to perform that often times patients overlook or forget to do them.

Epsom Salts is routinely used for:
1. Rehabilitation (correction)
a. Soothing relief from arthritic pain
b. Reduces stiffness, soreness, and tightness of joints
c. Improves discomfort from muscle aches, pains, and tenderness
d. Soothing painful bruises, sprains, and strain
e. Alleviates pain from over exertion during sport activities
f. Improve the body's sleeping and resting productivity
g. Increasing and improves body energy levels
h. Improving the rate of natural body healing
i. Soothe away stress
j. Deep clean skin and pores
k. Taking the sting of insect bites
l. Draws out splinters
m. To increase the body's healing productivity rate by 1/3
n. An energy charging-up mechanism of low body energy levels
o. Immediately following high levels of body energy output both mentally
    and physically

2. Pehabilitation (prevention) 
These salts baths can be taken anytime you want at any time of the day or night.  And may be taken several times each day if desired.
1. Increase the healing process by 1/3 the normal rate
2. An additional energy charging-up process for the body when going into high levels of mental and physical activity

Apple Cider Vinegar
We have noticed a difference in the apple cider vinegar products. The two brand names that we have found to work better are Heinz & White House.

Apple cider vinegar is used to charge your body and/or to balance your emotional state. When used alone in the bath tub it will greatly assist your ability to sleep better at night. Apple Cider Vinegar, like Epsom salt, can be used alone or added to the Epsom salts soaking bath. Place 1 cup of apple cider vinegar per every 60 lbs. of body weight (It is not necessary to exceed 4 cups) by itself or into the Epsom salt soaking bath treatment. Apple cider vinegar is one of the best skin tonics known to man and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth similar to skin softeners and lotions, such as lanolin and hand creams.

Both the Epsom Salt soaking bath treatment and the apple cider vinegar addition are used when you are going to need extra mental and/or physical energy levels for the next day's activities or when you really feel drained of energy and need a charging. You can use both as often as you want without harm or problems as both are natures remedies for the above body ailments.

One of the many functions of the skin is a salt bridge allowing the body to charge up with energy it can use for it's own biological purposed. The salt-vinegar bath is but one of many charging processes or methods available. It is very cost effective and has no known harmful effects to the body or living systems.
Tips To Improve Recovery Time
Supportive Therapies
We use, in conjunction with this exercising program, the following supportive self-help tools to facilitate and greatly improve the quality of tissue regeneration and to shorten the recover time.  They are:

1. Piezo stimulator
The Piezo Quartz Crystal Stimulator is a self contained small pocket unit ideal for "Immediate Self-Treatments". It produces an electrical high peak power of 10,000 voltage  pulse of 12 microseconds is generated when pressure is applied and releases to the tuned solid-state ceramic quartz crystal in the unit. This unit requires on batteries or external power source and its output is not adjustable. This unit will last approximately 100,000 stimulations.

2. Skin Brushing
Daily skin brushing accelerates recovery time greatly.  You can skin brush anywhere from your bath tub to while at work or drive to and from work.  The general guideline to follow is that if skin brushing begins to feel uncomfortable or irritates the involved area discontinue skin brushing until it no longer irritates or feels uncomfortable. Always remember to include crossover and over-flow stimulation in your skin brushing rehab program. 
Skin brushing is generally used over the entire body to stimulate the body’s normal regulatory healing inflammatory response. Skin brushing can also be used every effectively over areas, following injury, before and following the body’s cueing symptom of "Itching". Itching is the body’s way-of-telling you that it’s time to start and activate its own natural healing inflammatory response. This amazing healing mechanism is incredible to watch and be a part of as it accelerated the body back to health. For the body to achieve optimal health, most body systems must be working on all eight cylinders. The skin provides the easiest access to certain of these systems, most importantly the nervous and the endocrine systems.

3. Crossover & Over-Flow StimulationsBy exercising the good side, arm or leg, the nervous system will provide a 20% cross over stimulation to the injured side, arm, or leg. Two unique neurological processes within the body's healing system are known as:
1. "Over-flow" is a unilateral influence (exercising the injured side, arm,
     or leg)
2. And "Crossover" is the bilateral influence (exercising the good side,
    arm, or leg).
The Green ZonesThe "Green Zones" is the pain free range of motion (see video tape).
The Red ZoneRed Zones is the painful range of motion of the injured extremity (see video tape). Remember to always exercise in the "Pain Free Zones" and overflow will decrease the size of the pain zone (red zone)
CrossoverCrossover in an excellent build-in automatic body re-educational program. By working the good extremity, in a particle or full range of motion, the body produces a 20% stimulate improvement to the bad extremity condition.

Over Flow
Over Flow is the exercising of the enveloped extremity only in the green zone. This green zone exercising will produce an overflow into the red zone without actually working in the red zone. And this exercising action will improve the full range of motion of the injured extremity by decreasing the size of the red zone or painful area (see video tape). Exercise in the pain free zone only. Pain is an indicator that you are hurting the area again.

Caution
Let the overflow work by exercise outside the Pain and Tenderness Zones (above or below pain zone). Never exercise in zones of pain or tenderness.

Treatment Protocol
Step 1 – brush the good side where discomfort is noted on the bad side for about 30-seconds to 1-minute.  Analog pain scale should drop in half.  Example: If the initial analog scale was 6/10 then following this brushing stimulation it should drop to 3/10.
Step 2 – brush all around the bad side area but avoid the bad side site for about 30-seconds to 1-minute.  Following this stimulation the analog scale should drop in half.  Example: If the analog scale is now 3/10 it should drop to 1.5/10 following this stimulation.
Step 3 – brush directly on the bad site using a brush pressure that is comfortable for about 30-seconds to 1-minute.  Following this stimulation the analog scale should drop in half again.  Example: If the analog scale is now 1.5/10 it should drop to .75/10 or lower following this stimulation.

You can do this treatment protocol each time you take a bath or shower both in the morning and before you go to bed at night.  Sleeping time is the body’s healing time.  So what ever you do to encourage its healing abilities before bed time greatly improve the healing rate.

FacilitationFast movement with little to no resistance is considered facilitation (neurological) pump-up. This process works well to improve the nerve innovation to the area. Facilitation can be incorporated either unilateral (side of involvement) or contra-lateral (opposite side of involvement)

Itching = Healing
Itching is a natural healing response mechanism produces by the body's healing programming. When the itching response is produces the individual scratches the area. Scratching continues until the response is satisfied. The scratching action produces a localized physiological healing chemical action that provokes inmorphins, incaplins, nutrition, blood flow and other body healing chemistries to be released, produces, or brought into the area.

In injuries, the itching response can be provoked more fully by vibrators and satisfied more effectively by the use of an acupuncture roller stimulator. The itching response must be continually stimulated two to four times daily at a minimum for at least four days following its initial excitement to fully activate it. Following the first four days stimulation can be reduced to once or twice daily but must be continued for four weeks.

The initial itching response is one of the reliable indicators that the body is initializing its healing mechanisms and stepping up its tissue regeneration phase to hypertrophy.
