Your Negative Thoughts
Create Your Own Sicknesses |
In today's society we are lead to believe
that we are human beings who occasionally experience the spiritual.
When, in fact, it’s the other way around. The truth
is that we have always be spiritual beings that occasionally
reincarnate to experience the physical. Our focus of who
we are needs to be changes to our true spiritual self, the Inner
Self within each and everyone of us. We’re not human
beings that have occasional spiritual experiences. We are spiritual
beings that have occasional human experiences. This human
life experience is so that we can discover our higher self or
our spiritual self, who we are, and our life's purpose, our
Dharma. Let's take a closer look at our spiritual-physical relationship.
Our Spirit, Mind, & Body Relationship
Each individual is composed of three constituents, their:
1. Body
2. Mind
3. & Spirit
The Body is the actual created physical form (Mirror Image)
of the Spirit as its manifestation into the physical world.
The Mind is the computer that brings physical manifestation
and Life Experiences to the Spirit including its body and the
physical world around it. And the Spirit is the True Self,
the Inner Self, and the Soul. The Spirit is an integral
part of the unseen and unfelt magnificent sea of cosmic energy,
the God life energy that is within us and all around us (see
the Electromagnetic Fields
in the Electromagnetic Therapies section and the Law Of Pure
Potentiality located in the Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success
of this section). As the Spirit creates the Mirror Image
it also creates the relation between them. And the struggles
in relationship it has with its Mirror Image are those expressed
outwardly towards others. That is to say, if there is no expression
of kindness between the Spirit and its Mirror Image then the
individual will not be able to express kindness towards others.
If the individual cannot express love within him or her self
then they will not be able to express love towards others, as
well. And if there are feelings of anger, bitterness,
guilt, resentment, or self criticism between the Spirit and
its Mirror Image then these feeling will be seen outwardly in
the relationships it has with others. So all relation
that you have are a mirror reflection of those in the relationship
within yourself. If you have fear, guilt, and/or insecurity
over money or anything else then these become the basic aspects
of your personality. Dealing with these problems outwardly will
not solve these basic inward problems. But when you begin to
look inwardly within yourself you will bring about true feelings.
Learning to get in touch with your Inner most essence of your
being is the only way to gain relationships with others. This
true essence goes way beyond the Ego (Mirror Image). And, as
you will discover the Spirit, your Inner Self, is fearless,
free, and immune to criticism. It doesn’t fear challenges.
And it is beneath no one, yet it is humble. And when you look
inwardly and become grounded within the knowledge of your spirit,
your Inner Self, you will start to understand the true nature
within you. And you will discover that you will no longer
feel fearful, guilty, or insecure about anything including money,
affluence, or fulfilling your deepest desires. And when
you learn this truth about yourself you will no longer allow
untrue opinions and unjust criticisms to concern you, touch
your heart, or influence your belief system. You will
also come to learn that you are connected to all things physical
and spiritual and that you are an integral part of this cosmic
sea of God's Life Energy.
So remember when working on or dealing with relationships, the
first step is to cultivate and create a peace of mind state
within yourself. When this is successfully done,
everything else will follow - automatically. Having "Peace
of mind" produces the high moral standards and values and
correct spontaneous right actions. In learning to fully
understand and enjoy successful relationships with others you
must first understand the "Mirror Image Relationship"
within yourself. This is a needed and necessary step.
So, if I may, allow me to share this simple method to experience
and understand how relationships work. It has been my
experience to learn that "You just can't go out and find
friends as they are nowhere to be found. But you can go
out and be friendly and you will find that they are everywhere.
So, that which you express from within yourself is exactly what
you will find in others when you go out into the world. Your
thought-action process defines you. Bring that balance
within yourself first then go out and find it everywhere remembering
to be true to your own feelings. Let’s carry this truth
of reality to its conclusive end-results.
Your mental "Thought-Patterns" actually form your
experiences in life and our body shapes and its states of health
and disease. You must remember that both the good in your lives
and the sicknesses are the results of our mental thought-actions
and the behavioral patterns we develop from their direction
or command. These in turn, form our life’s experiences.
We all have many thought patterns that produce good, positive,
and happy experiences of which we enjoy. But by the same token
we also have or feel negative thought patterns that produce
uncomfortable, unrewarding, and harmful experiences. It is these
harmful thought-actions that we are concerned with and direct
your attention to. It is our desire to make constructive suggestions,
recommendations, and provide good ideas that will help you change
or reverse your disease producing thought-actions, from misdirected
negative emotions and feelings, and allow you to restore perfect
health to your body.
We are all learners in this life. At the beginning we are known
as "Students". As we advance we become
"Disciples" of life. And as we age
we gather, accumulate, and experience many of life’s lessons
and become "Masters". As masters
we are compelled to share our knowledge with others uplifting
mankind forever. This uplifting process is a very important
gift to fellow followers and our spiritual development.
As masters we have learned that all of life operates on a directed
"Mental Cause & Effect" principle.
That is to say that for every effect in our lives, there is
a thought-action pattern that preceded and manifested that end-results.
So we learn that our consistent thinking patterns create our
experiences and our physical health-sickness patterns. Therefore,
by changing our thinking patterns, we can change our experiences
and reinstate our health status. Next, let’s talk about
replacing old thought patterns and habits that effect you life
with quality ones. |
| Replacing Old Thought Patterns And Habits |
In order to permanently eliminate any unwanted physical condition
that define your limited thinking, you must first learn the
error in our thinking that caused the problem and then replace
it with the truth. But since most of us are uneducated in these
matters, we just do not know where to start. These ideas and
methods will not help the healthy individual, the irresponsible,
or the procrastinator. So, if you are thinking,
1. I can't do that
2. That can't be true
3. I can't believe that
4. That's to good to be true
5. If only I knew how to fix this problem - I would.
I hope that this above self-taught and programmed collection
of automatic thought that you have placed into your hard-drive
provides you with a guideline to change your thoughts to "Unlimiting"
rather than those of "Limiting” so
that your mind will provide you with answers to "What caused
your problem" and "How to fix it". The application
of these ideas, like a compass needle, will guide you to new
thought-action patterns and behaviors that will produce health
in your spirit, mind, and body.
Remember all of life is an "Awaking & Learning Process"
and is unique for each of us. And all of life’s experiences
and physical ailments in our lives are both needed and necessary
for us to learn, grow, develop, and evolve. Otherwise, "How
do we advance?" The physical symptoms are only the side
effects of the end-results of your manifested thoughts. So,
you must go within yourself to discover and correct all unwanted
mental errors in thinking and replace them with the truth. I
remember a saying taught to me by one of my teachers. It states
"He who rules his body posses greater authority than he
who rules a country." So remember "The trip behind
you and the trip ahead of you are nothing when compared to the
trip within you." Next, let’s take a look at the
big five feelings or emotions that are the seeds for sickness
and disease.
Every negative emotion and feeling can manifest in your body
as a sickness or disease but observations find that there are
only five that get used repetitively. I have always found that
"Being for-warned is being for-armed"
so as soon as you recognize any negative feeling within you
correct or change into a positive direction.
Negative emotions can and do manifest within your body in a
short time (acute) or can require a longer time (chronic) time
period to do so. The "Big Five" emotional feelings
more correctly known as "Mental Thought Patterns",
which manifest in your body and are responsible for most of
the disease processes an individual will experience are:
1. Anger
2. Criticism
3. Guilt
4. Resentment
5. Bitterness
Let’s take a closer look at the Big Five.
1. Anger can occur quickly and gradually and is seen in conditions
that inflame, boil, burn and infect the body.
2. Criticisms create conditions that erode and slowly eat away
at your body and produce long-term degenerative processes leading
to those types of ailments and diseases.
3. Guilt is another negative emotion that will manifest sickness
over a longer period of time and always seek punishment and
pain.
4. Resentment is another long-term held-in manifestation that
festers and eats away at your body and ultimately leads to ulcerations,
tumors and cancer.
5. Bitterness occurs when all of the sweetness is taken out
of your life. First this emotion leaves your spirit and
then it leaves your body. The organ that regulates sweetness
is the pancreas and when this organ becomes troubled conditions
like hypoglycemia (less advanced condition) and diabetes (more
advanced condition) onset.
Besides effecting many other parts of your body the above five
also routinely attack your digestive tract, heart, and liver.
This may not sound like much of a problem but it adds up very
fast to become overwhelming. Prevention is always the best cure
– not the rehabilitation process. Do you remember ever
hearing the saying "A stitch in time saves nine" or
"Hindsight is always 20-20 and a painful teacher"?
So remember it is always better to avoid or reverse all negative
thinking or thought-action behaviors before they get planted
and start growing. It is always harder to try to dig them out
after they are so deeply seeded in your body while your are
in a state of panic and threatened by radical remedies such
as surgery.
Worth mentioning here is the fact that there are two more very
common emotions that you may unknowingly allow to erode and
eat away at your body. They are:
1. Acceptance
2. Recognition
Many people concern themselves with trying to fit in rather
than just being themselves. Individuals who are looking for
acceptance and recognition from others fall into this category
of wanting others to like, accept, and recognize them. But it
is the clear thinking individual, who by being him or her self
accomplishes more than anyone ever thought possible. These are
the individuals who we read about. These individuals become
legends to those around them and in time are printed into our
history. So remember, unless you measure-up within yourself,
you have nothing to give or offer that has any true value. I
always share with those who display these attributes by saying,
"If you are not enough without their approval, acceptance,
or recognition, you will never be enough with it. Learn to listen
for that silent voice within you and when you finally hear it
speak to you it will whisper in your ear a reminder that you
should always remember to feel and do all things with love and
kindness in your heart."
So remember, "As you think - you become". All habits,
good or bad, are the results of what you willed to happen. Keep
them positive. And the environments you place yourself into
(work, home, recreation) are the influences of what you will
become. Hence the first step in going forward to a new beginning
is letting go of the past. Letting go of the past can be harder
than you think. But it is absolutely necessary when you finally
decide to "Go Forward".
Emotions and feelings, whether positive or negative, effect
all parts of your life including deciding what to eat, when
to eat, or how much to eat. Eating from positive feeling creates
health. Eating while feeling negative creates sickness.
Next, let’s discuss a simple and extremely effective answer
and solution to the problem of sickness and disease. |
| Dr. P. P. Quimby |
I remember reading about Dr. P. P. Quimby’s
methods of healing the sick that were written by many of his
patients. He talked about the cause of all illness and disease
as an error in the individual’s thinking and the applications
of their thought-action processes. He explained that they processed
errors in their thinking, which were the causations of their
conditions. He then replaced them with the principles of truth,
which immediately started the reinstatement process of their
health. He describes the power of the words, thoughts, and actions
that create your actual experiences and your wellness. Armed
with this awareness of incorrect mental application he allowed
his patients to actually experience the greatness of the mind
over the body by its application of the truth.
Dr. Quimby brings to us the understanding and application of
the connection between the errors in manifesting our misdirected
thought processes and how they effect the different parts of
our body and create its many physical problems.
He teaches us how we "Unknowingly"
create the sickness and diseases within ourselves. And he also
teaches us to stop blaming others for the problems found within
us and to take the responsibility ourselves for reversing these
unwanted diseases process. The neat thing about his teachings
is that he shows us how to reverse all sickness found within
our bodies and how to replace them with the truth of health.
And when you begin to see how to avoid negative thought patterns
which, when manifested create your sickness and disease, you
will begin to feel more secure in your abilities to make constructive
and beneficial changes in your health. By avoiding today the
creation of negative thought patterns that produce illness,
sickness, and disease, you create a future of tomorrows filled
with health and happiness.
A good starter book to learn more about Dr. Quimby and his amazing
solutions to health is "The Philosophy Of P. P. Quimby",
by Annetta Gertrude Dresser. It can be found in the "Library"
in the "Health Care" section listed as "Health
And Disease" in the web site www.racingsmarter.com
Dr. Quimby practiced in the state of Maine from 1850 to 1864.
He only saw the very sick individuals who had been given up
on by all of the other healing arts. And to my knowledge is
the only one who had the amazing record of helping 100% of his
patients. I know of no other doctor with that record. |
| Belief Systems |
How important are belief systems? How
do they allow or disallow your thoughts and thinking processes,
your actions and behaviors, and your growth and development
in this world? If a belief system is outdated, how do you successfully
go about changing it? And even more importantly, how do you
recognize that an outdated belief system needs to be upgraded
or changed?
Belief systems are the truths that influence, direct, dictate,
and govern your thoughts and behaviors in life. They control
and regulate your life experiences. From the moment
you are born people's opinions are suggested to you. Everyday
you are constantly being bombarded with and greatly influenced
by what you see, hear, and feel. And in retrospection
analysis find that you generally accept their opinions as a
"True statement" or as "A matter of fact".
And because you trust or believe in this individual or see them
as an authority figure you totally accept his or her opinion
without question and it becomes a part of your belief system.
Opinions that come from trusted friends and authoriteric figures
may vary greatly but usually include; what you should believe
in and not believe in, what you should think about and
not think about, how you should act and behave, how you should
dress, and who is right and wrong. And these opinions,
even to a great extent influence how you should think and live
your life. As you plant these unverified and unsubstantiated
opinions into your mind and belief system you create imposing
limits on yourself. Careless acts of imprinting or taking
opinions as truths unknowingly create limits for your potential
to grow and development as a spiritual being. When you
do this you unknowingly limit the creativeness and life's experiences
necessary for your spiritual growth, development, and evolution.
So the belief system that you and you alone create becomes an
unseen and unfelt mental prison, which encompasses you with
many false and misdirected truths. These self-inflected
mental imprisonments become the borders and boundaries that
limit your thinking and thought processes, limit your actions
and behaviors, and limit your needed and necessary growth and
development. So remember we limit ourselves by the way
we think, behave, and feel. And when we do this we decrease
the chances of experiencing that truly great spiritual individual
within us we never knew we always wanted to experience.
But how do we find a method or system that honestly and truthfully
tells us what is true and what is not? What choice or
choices to make? And what choices or avenues that should
be avoided? Let's take a look. |
| Learning To Make Good Choices |
I have heard it said, ”The choices
we make dictate the life we lead. To our own self be true.”
And as I experience more and more of life I have found that
this quote is very true. Let’s see how it works.
It is a fact that where you are, at this exact moment, is a
result of all the choices you have made up until now. Unfortunately,
most of us routinely make unconscious choices and therefore
forget that we do. And yet, when you stop to think about it
you can quickly see that we do make choices all the time.
Example
Let’s take a look at an example. If I were to insult
you, you would probably make the choice of being upset or offended.
If I were to pay you a compliment you probably make the choice
of feeling good or flattered. But stop and think about it for
a moment - it’s still a choice you made. So, whether I
flatter you or I insult you, you are the only one who will make
the choice of how to feel. And most of the time you make this
choice it is automatic and without giving thought to it first.
In other words, most of us have become automatically conditioned
to respond without giving thought to the event.
So, in essence what we have done is to condition-reflex train
ourselves to automatically respond by words from people or by
circumstances associated with an event that develop into predictable
outcomes of behavior. |
| Self-Programming Unconscious Behaviors |
These self-programming condition-reflex behaviors are a lot
like "Pavlovian Conditioning". Pavlov is an individual
who is famous for demonstrating that if you ring the bell each
time you give a dog food after a while the dog will salivate
just by hearing the bell ring. The dog salivates because it
has associated one stimulus (food) with the other (bell ring).
Most of us, from this type of behavioral conditioning exhibit
many repetitious and predictable responses to stimuli in our
environment. And these self-programmed responses seem to be
automatically triggered as we link into words, people, events,
and circumstances.
But whether we consciously or unconsciously decide what to do
it is still a choice we made. And we make decisions and
choices like this every moment of everyday. Remember that routine
actions become routine habits as we program ourselves to behave
without thought. And our thoughtless behaviors soon become
automatic allowing us to make many choices unaware and unconsciously.
But on the other hand, by giving conscious thought to and becoming
aware of your decisions and choices you turn unconscious behaviors
into conscious actions. Learning to fully participate
consciously in all of your daily decisions and choices empowers
you. Let’s take a look. |
| Our Divine Built-In Choice Mechanism |
In the creation of our bodies the Divine
wisdom also created a very interesting mechanism, which allows
us to accurately and spontaneously make correct choices. This
mechanism has to do with the sensations you feel coming from
within your body. In its creation the Divine wisdom kept
it simple. It only created two types of sensations, one
is the sensation of feeling comfort or good, and the other is
a sensation of bad or discomfort. Now remember this choice
making mechanism is always turned on and working but many choose
not to listen. And from hindsight evaluations they learn
that they made poor or bad choices.
So how do we use this automatic Divine build-in choice making
system of ours? At that exact moment when you are listening
to opinions and making choices or decisions pay careful attention
to the feelings emerging from within your body. Or if
you do not notice this mechanism then you can ask your body,
"If I make this choice what happens?" If your body
sends feelings of comfort to you then this is the good or right
choice. But, if your body sends feelings of discomfort to you
then it is a wrong or an inappropriate decision or choice.
For some people this Divine emotional choosing mechanism surfaces
within the solar plexus. But for most individuals this
Divine feeling surfaces within the area of the heart.
If you put your attention to your heart and ask it "What
should I do?" you should be able to hear its answer.
Remember you may have to wait a moment or so for its response.
Your heart will produce a physical response in the form of a
feeling, sensation, or emotion. This response can range from
the faintest level of sensations to a very strong and intense
feeling. But remember it will always be there to guide you.
But nevertheless when you make that one right choice it will
result in the form of Divine behavior that is known as your
"Spontaneous Right Action” choice. Spontaneous
Right Action decision-making is the right action for you at
the right moment. It is the right response to every situation
as it happens to you. It is the correct action that nourishes
you and all of those who are influenced by that decision and
the actions taken. So remember for all things that confront
you only your heart knows the correct answers. So remember to
pay careful attention to its Divine guidance system for it is
the compass needle that always guides you righteously through
life.
So remember when you make any decision you can immediately ask
yourself two questions. First, what are the consequences of
this decision or choice that I am making? And then wait and
pay careful attention by feeling the answer that comes from
your heart. And second, will this decision or choice bring happiness
into my life and all of those around me? If your heart
answers “Yes” by surfacing a feeling of comfort,
then go ahead with that decision or choice. But if your
heart answers “No” by surfacing a feeling of discomfort
or distress then do not make that decision or choice. Remember
all Divine decision making and choosing is as simple as this.

| Eliminating Out Dated Mental Habits |
For your general information about how your
mind works and what areas control or dominate your directed
thought-actions and their manifestations allow me to share these
facts with you. Whenever you compete your abilities of "Discipline"
against your "Willpower", willpower wins. Whenever
you compete your "Willpower" (determination) against
your "Imagination", imagination wins. Whenever you
compete your "Imagination" against your "Belief
System", your belief system wins. But your "Feeling"
and "Emotions" can override all three of the above.
And when these feelings or emotions are negatively directed
they only manifest sicknesses within you. If these feelings
or emotions are planted into your mind with a great deal of
anger, criticism, guilt, or resentment they will manifest very
quickly. However, on the other hand small repetitive implanted
negative thinking can manifest, accumulate, and buildup in specific
target areas of your body over a much longer time period. And,
at some point, they begin to produce the outward signs and symptoms
of a disease process. Let’s see how this works.
Willpower and Discipline only work on and affect the surface
of the problem. They have never worked on the deeper implanted
and manifested negative thoughts. Because of this fact they
could never get to the roots of any problem. And remember that
the only way to rid yourself of any unwanted problem is by attacking
and getting rid of its root system. Remember like a plant, no
disease condition can live if its roots are cut away. So, in
other words when the needs you feel are gone, the outward physical
effects and their signs and symptoms will die as well.
Only you can move or not move your fingers. No one else can
move your finger unless you give them the authority. This simple
example demonstrates the fact that only you think in your body
and all things that come into or leave your body must do so
through your say so. In other words, all sicknesses and disease
processes were created by you and can only be removed by you.
All negative feelings or emotions that you feel and experience
will manifest themselves within your body unless you take thought-actions
to stop them or reverse them. There are several ways to retrain,
reprogram, or upgrade your unconscious mind and belief system.
For the retraining of the mind we offer daily affirmations,
meditation, manifestation training, hypnosis and self-hypnosis,
methods of forgiveness, learning positive mental attitudes,
and releasing negative directed mental attitudes. "Positive
Thought-Actions" are a major key to the restoration and
maintaining good health. The elimination of "Negatively
Directed Thought-Actions" from all sources within your
mind is another major key to the restoration and maintaining
of good health. |
| Affirmations |
| Affirmations improve your self-confidence and self-love. They
relate to your own personal goals and desires. Say your affirmations
daily in order to permanently establish them in your mind and
into your new patterns of thinking and acting. You can place
them onto a 3 x 5 card and place the cards around the house
and in your car to be read several times a day. You may chose
to place them onto a cassette tape recorded in your own voice
so that you can listen to them several times a day. |
| Meditation |
| Meditation is a vital part of the mind’s retraining
process. It can eliminate the negative thought-action process
and instates the positive thought-action one. It is a simple
mental process to learn and abide. It involves learning and
utilizing the different types of breathing methods while focusing
your thoughts. It is a supportive part of the Mental Retraining
process. And it is one of the major keys to reinstate and maintain
good health. |
| Hypnosis |
| The conscious mind has complete autonomy over and is the only
authority within your body. Nothing goes into or comes out of
your body unless your mind "Makes it so". All ailments,
sicknesses, and diseases are created by your mind’s manifestation
of negatively directed thought-actions. Expanding the awareness
of the conscious mind is very important in directing or manifesting
good health. Therefore all hypnotic inductions or NLP sections
include the positive affirmations from the book "Heal Your
Body" by Louise L. Hay. Hypnosis is one of the major keys
to reinstate and maintain good health. |
| Laughing |
| Laughing is a major way back to health. The very process of
laughing automatically creates the healing chemistries within
the body and begins and maintains good health. Laughing is a
part of the mental retraining program. |
| Heal Your Body |
Now that you are beginning to understand
that you can make very effective, constructive, and beneficial
changes in all disease processes in your body it is time to
start reading "Heal Your Body", by Louise L. Hay (ISBN
0-937611-00-X. Following her recommendations of listing all
sicknesses and illnesses you have ever had and to begin the
process of daily affirmation, which starts the reversing actions
of their manifested disease processes.
Here is a good "Step-By-Step" plan to use Louise Hay’s
book "Heal Your Body" when you have any physical ailment
or problem:
1. Look up the mental cause. See if this could be true for you.
If not, sit quietly and ask yourself,
"What could be the thoughts in me that
created this?"
2. Repeat to yourself (aloud if you can), "I am willing
to release the pattern in my
consciousness that has created this condition:’
3. Repeat the new thought pattern to yourself several times.
4. Assume that you are already in the process of healing.
And whenever you think of the condition in your mind, repeat
the above four steps.
As a reminder remember that whatever is going on with your body
is what’s going on in our mind. All physical signs and
symptomology progress from least to worst. They first start
as being "Tired and Weak". If you do not rest and
allow a resting time period they will progress to "Still
& Tight". If you still do not allow a rest and recovery
time period they advance to "Sore & Ache". If
you still do not take a corrective action they progress to "Tenderness"
and finally "Pain". So if your body is tired and weak,
so is your mind. If your body is stiff and tight so is your
thinking. If you are feeling Stiff & Tight" your are
still accumulating small or large amounts of one or more of
the "Big Five" (anger, criticism, guilt and resentment).
It takes a little time for your mind to reverse the created
condition existing in your body, so allow for it. William Shakespeare
once said; "The choices you make dictate the life you lead.
To your ownself be true." In other words "What you
do today creates your tomorrows. Be wise and choose well everyday.
And remember to stop any and all negativity before it gets a
chance to get started in your mind."
In closing I would like to remind you that meditation also is
very helpful and supportive with the readings of your daily
affirmations. Like affirmations, meditation also creates a healthy
consciousness and, therefore, a healthy body. And finally "Remember
to do all things with Love and Kindness in your heart."
