The
Piezo Quartz Crystal Stimulator |
| Self-Help Supplies |
All of the supplies needed or necessary that
are mentioned in this chapter or in our rehab guidelines and
rehab exercising self-help programs are available in our Bookstore.

Researchers, in the healing arts, have long known that electricity
current is what the body uses to heal itself. Electric stimulation
to troubled or injured areas allows these areas, not only
heal faster, but in most cases heal without the formation
of scar tissue. Applying electrical stimulation early in any
problem allow the body to repair before the advance needs
of chemical poisonous (drugs) or surgery. Electricity allows
the body's repair program to repair and regenerate the troubled
or injured tissues back to an identical replacement tissue,
making it like new. This type of tissue repair is called "Plastic
Regeneration or Plastic Formation" (Dr. Sue, "The
Plastic Effects On Biological Tissue Under Electrical Field
Stimulation", Biomechanical Conference Los Angles, CA,
1976). Plastic Regeneration means that the new replacing tissues
are constructed just like the tissue being replaced, before
the problem or injury. Plastic regeneration maintains that
highly differentiated state of tissue quality. It is this
process that we use in our clinic with the application of
our accelerated Holistic healing methods. And, taking corrective
actions on any problem in its early stages of trouble will
always a lot more cost effective that the agonizing treatments
of chemotherapy or surgery.
Pierre and Jacaques Curie first observed the basic Piezo electric
phenomenon of "Pressure Electricity" in the 1880s.
They showed that when certain types of crystals are deformed
by pressure, electrical potentials are created. Conversely,
when an electrical field is applied to such a crystal, it
undergoes a physical deformation.
The Piezo Quartz Crystal Stimulator is a self contained easy-to-use
cost effective small pocket size unit ideal for "On the
Spot" usage. Its electrical 10,000 high peak voltage
pulse of 12 microseconds is generated when pressure is applied
and releases to the tuned solid-state ceramic quartz crystal
in the unit. This unit requires on batteries or external power
source and its output is not adjustable. This unit will last
approximately 100,000 stimulations. |
| Can Be Used For |
To use the Piezo Electric Stimulator hold
the unit perpendicular to the skin surface with the push button
activation ends up. Apply to appropriate point or points, pressing
the button with thumb until a click is heard, then release and
repeat the process. Do not stimulate one point more than a few
times continuously but stimulation may be continued 1/4 inch
from the previous point of stimulation. The Piezo Stim may be
used on:
1. Painful, tender, aches, sore, or tightness
2. Trigger points
3. Acu-points
4. Long muscle groups
5. And meridian pathways. |
| Applications |
The Piezo may be applied through light clothing
without losing the electrical stimulation effectiveness.
The output may also be modulated (the stimulation is made more
comfortable) by treating through a thin Tens rubber electrode.
Piezo Stimulators are not recommended for patients with cardiac
pacemakers. Safely in pregnancy has not been established.
I have found the best time to electrical stimulate these problem
areas are when they are symptomatic. That is to say when they
produce their outward sighs and symptoms of complaint, such
as aches, pains, tenderness, or soreness. So, when it hurts,
feels sore or tender, aches or is painful, stimulate the area
with electrical stimulation. Up until now you had to visit a
doctor's office for this treatment but a new produce called
a "Piezo Stim" is available for immediate individual
use. It is the size of an ink pin and can be easily carried
in you pocket. The best time to fix a problem is when it is
small or before it gets large. The best time to get treatment
is when the problem area produces symptoms, and most of those
times are when you are away from the doctor's office. The Piezo
Stim is an excellent tool for cleaning-up and/or getting rid
of nagging chronic problem areas. |
| Reducing Congestion & Swelling |
When any area of the body is injured, the
body’s protective shock mechanism automatically reduces,
shrinks, and constricts the diameter size of all fluid carrying
vessels in that area. Most people are aware of the blood
vascular system and the six-pints of blood it manages and may
have observed this mechanism at some time or another.
But, unlike the blood vessel system, most people are not aware
of the body’s 24-pint water managing system better known
as the lymphatic system with vessels over 1⁄2 the size
smaller than the smallest blood handling vessel. It is in this
system most of the time at produces residual congestion known
as swelling and edema. The underlying problem arises when
the individual only works on and helps the blood vascular system
regain control and eventually reinstates its blood fluid to
flow, at the same time forgets to help and assist the lymphatic
system regain and control its fluid flow. Here is where
the Piezo electric stimulator can help and assist these two
systems. Let’s take a look.
Second Person Assistance
The electricity produced by the Piezo electric stimulator actually
helps and assists both systems to reinstate normal vessel diameter,
which starts the elimination process of congestion, pooling,
and swelling or edema through the Lacteal ducts. This
Piezo stimulator procedure required a second person to perform
this technique. The second person places the Piezo stimulator
above the injured site while placing four of his or her fingers
below the injured site. When the Piezo stimulator is activated
(fired) electricity flows from the Piezo stimulator and down
through the injured site and on to the second person’s
fingers. This form of electrical stimulation re-opens
the vessels that were constricted and shut-off due to the body’s
shock protective mechanism and the congestion, swelling, and
edema starts to automatically move away from the injured site.

| User Observations |
Many users have noted that over a short period
of time the Piezo stimulator feels as if it is loosing its charge
or getting weaker. This is not the case. What is happening is
that the involved area is healing, getting better, and growing
stronger. Healthier tissue, to respond, requires greater amounts
of electric stimulation. This is a normal healing action produced
by the body and accounts for that sensation observed by the
user. In other words, the Piezo stim is helping the body to
heal itself.
Notation: problem areas (old or new) require less electrical
current to start the healing process. So, the Piezo may feel
stronger, at first. But, as these areas improve or normalize
they require more electrical current. I know this may sound
a little confusing. So, what you may notice, as these areas
heal, is that the Piezo Stim feels less strong over these areas.
This is an expected normal response. So, yes, the problem area
or areas are getting better. And no, the Piezo Stim is not loosing
its power. |
| Contraindications |
Do not use the Piezo Stim near or around
the heart or eyes. Follow all other contraindications described
for electro-therapy devices. The contraindication for electro-therapy
devices should not be used for any of the following:
1. On patients with cardiac pacemakers of any type
2. Over the carotid sinus area 3. Near or around
the eyes 4. Near or around the heart 5.
Transcerebrally 6. Transthoracially 7.
To remove pain syndromes until etiology has been established
8. On pregnant women 9. Over or near a known
or suspected malignancy
10. On patients who have implants of any electrical nature
11. And on patients with cardiac disease. |
