Understanding And Utilizing
The "Law Of Allowing" |
This is the third of three chapters that
are to be read in their 1, 2, 3 sequence. They are my translations
from my notes from the program given by Esther Hicks, a transchanneler
for an individual named Abraham who is a group of non-physical
teachers who are teaches us the basic laws of the Universe.
In this 1, 2, 3 sequenced program Abraham teaches us the basic

The purpose of this chapter is to connect with those riders
and those individuals who are looking for spiritual advanced
form this information and knowledge. Helping to connect with
those who are seeking this information is of great importance
in the advancement of motocross raci41 and any and all other
forms of personnel self-perfection.
The success of these three laws hinge upon your learning, understanding,
applying, and experiencing each of them. Remember that only
through learning and experiencing them can you come to know
and master them. And you will discover that using all three
laws provides a harmonic blend of balance and creative actions
allowing you to experience - your hearts desire.
This chapter deals only with the last of these three "Eternal
Laws". But remember, if you do not understand and/or are
unable to effectively apply and utilize this first law, the
Law Of Attraction, then the second and third laws will be closed
to you. That is to say that if you do not know, understand,
and utilize the first law the second or third laws will not
work. So in order to be able to understand and utilize these
three very power laws you must read them in their 1, 2, and
3 sequence. As you sequentially progress through these three
chapters their connectiveness will become clear to you.
Let’s start by reviewing the first two universal or eternal
laws. They are:
1. The Law Of Attraction
2. The Law Of Deliberate Creation
1. The Law Of Attraction
The first fundamental universal law is the law of attraction.
The "Law Of Attraction" is very simple and states,
"That which is like unto itself - is drawn." And only
when you come to understand and experience the great magnetic
power of creation in your thoughts you will come to understand
how it is that you are getting what you are getting in your
physical life’s experience.
2. The Law Of Deliberate Creation
The second universal law is the law of "Deliberate Creation".
It states, "That which you give thought to, believe, allow,
or expect – is." Remember we are all creators and
create our own life’s experiences so the word "Deliberate"
emphasizes your intentions. But because most of you do not know
or understand these three fundamental laws you do not create
deliberately. Most create by accident or a failure to recognize
the process.
This chapter is specifically about the universal law of allowing.
Let's take a look.
3. Law Of Allowing
Now let’s discuss the third law of the universal, the
"Law Of Allowing". It says, "I
am that which I am. And I am willing to allow others to be that
which they are." It is also known that when you
are willing to allow others to be as they are, even in their
lack of allowing you to be you, you will be an "Allower".
It is also known that it is very unlikely that you will reach
the point of being an Allower until you come to understand "How
it is that you get what you get." And only when you understand
that another cannot be a part of your experience unless you
invite them in through your thought. And also understand that
circumstances cannot be a part of your experiences unless you
invite them in through your thought. Only then will you be an
"Allower". Becoming an Allower is one of the goals
you are intuitively seeking after coming forth into this physical
form of an expression of life.
The Presentation Of Law Of Allowing by Abraham-Hicks
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you Jerry & Esther
Hicks and the spiritual group of non-physical teachers known
as Abraham.
Good morning. We are extremely pleased to be able to discuss
this most important topic "Allowing" with you. The
application of the law of allowing will bring to you, in this
life, "Absolute Freedom". We speak
very enthusiastically about the law of allowing and bask in
the joy of this knowledge, ourselves. And as teachers there
is nothing more important to us than to pass on our knowledge
that it may be received, applied, and enjoyed.
The Allower
We will begin by expressing our definition of the "Allower".
The allower knows that I am that which I am, a changing
thing – indeed. And while I am that which I am I am willing
to allow all others to be that which they are. I recognize that
there are not two of us the same. I recognize that we have many
differences. I recognize that there are things are similar.
There are even things that are the same. And in all of our differences
and likeness I find joy.
Now we will begin to explain how it is possible for you to find
joy even while you are aware that there is another who is doing
that which is directly opposite or against that which you are
doing or wanting.
The reason why most are not willing or wanting to be allowing
of others is because they believe that "If they allow another
to behave in an opposite way they are jeopardizing they own
experiences. That, if you allow another to behave in this opposite
way, their behavior will grow and spread, even to the point
of overflowing into your experiences. This false belief system,
this unnecessary fear, this unnecessary thought or wanting to
protect yourself only adds to your venerability. Why? Because
this false belief system only attract to you that which you
are thing about. In other words, you attract their life experiences
to you by the vary act of thinking about theirs (the law of
attraction). When you give thoughts to another’s experience,
their experience will come to you. And when you do not give
thought to another’s life experiences, their experiences
will not become a part of your life experiences. It is just
that simple.
This false belief system, this lack of understanding of the
three laws of the universe is responsible for the organization
of armies. This unnecessary thought is responsible for the attitude,
"We must ban together to be larger and more powerful".
But, this false belief, this false attitude will only manifest
weakness rather than manifesting strength. It is a feel of venerability
rather than a feeling in invincibility. And it is the lack of
knowledge regarding the laws that govern your universe rather
than an understanding of then.
The purpose of this lecture is not that we may free your world
from all of its troubles, as these conflicts of believes continue
to cause the loss of life. Our intent is to assist you, as an
individual, to find the freedom that comes only when you understand
and apply the laws of the universe. These laws are eternal.
They are forever. These laws are universal, they are everywhere.
They are absolute, whether you know they are, or not. They bring
and give their gifts to you whether you accept their existence
or not. And they influence your life whether you know that they
do, or not. While we have already discussed the first two laws
already let’s review them again so we can integrate the
three together and bring a more in-depth understanding of how
they work together.
The Word "Law"
When we use the word law, we are not referring to any earthly
agreements that many of you have termed law. You have a law
of gravity. And you have the law of time and space. And you
have many other laws including the laws of govern traffic control
and the behavior of your criticisms. But when we use the word
law we are speaking of the everlasting, ever present laws. And
there are not that many of them. So, after you learned, understood
and applied these first three basic universal laws you will
begin to understanding, through their experience, how your universe
functions. In other words, you will understand how everything
that comes into you life’s experience got there. Then
you will recognize that you are the Inviter, your are the Creator,
and you are the Attractor of all things that come unto you.
And you will then, indeed, have deliberate control over your
own life experiences. And in all of that - you will then, and
only then, be free.
A State Of Freedom
It is our knowledge that freedom comes though the understanding
of how you are getting what you are getting. Consider this example.
If you are playing a game but you do not understand its rules,
you will not have satisfactory experiences within that game.
So, allow us to explain the rules of your game of physical experience.
And we do so enthusiastically because they are the same rules
of the game of all life, whether it is physical or non-physical
life experiences. So, that which you have come to understand
and apply here will serve you well for "Ever After".
Even after you are not longer focused though this physical body.
Attraction - The Most Powerful Law In The Universe
The most powerful law in the universe, and indeed in your physical
environment is the Law Of Attraction. And this laws simples
says, “That which is like unto itself is drawn.
You say, “Birds of a feather flock together”.
That is your awareness of the law of attraction. You notice
that when you get on a negative spiral or when bad things begin
to happen in your life, it seems that everything starts to go
wrong. That is your awareness of the law of attraction.
You notice that when you awake up in the morning feeling good
you have a happier day. However, when you begin you day
with a fight with someone that you find your day negative in
many regards. That is your awareness of the law of attraction.
What To Think & What - Not To Think…
The law of attraction ranges from being extremely obvious to
being extremely subtle. And indeed, everything that you experience
- from the most obvious to the most subtle is influenced by
this powerful law of attraction. As an example, when you give
thought to those things that please you, by the law of attraction,
other thoughts that are similar begin to come forth. And
when you give thought to that which displeases you, by the law
of attraction, other thoughts that are like it begin to come
forth, as well. The cycle continues until you find yourself
reaching into your past for more of those same thoughts.
And you find yourself discussion these matters with others.
Then they begin to reach into their past. Eventually your
find yourself wrapped up within an ever-growing larger and larger
thought. And remember that as this thought continues to grow
it gains momentum and power, as well. However, with an
understanding of the law of attraction you can direct your focused
mental thought on that which you are wanting to attract into
your life’s experiences. What this does is to take
your thoughts off of that which you are not wanting so that
which you are not wanting never manifest into your life’s
experiences. Question: “Can you
remember to think only of those things that you would want or
are wanting and never give thought to those things you are not
or would never want?” So, remember the understanding
of the law of attraction gives you absolute control over your
life’s experiences.
The law of deliberate creation is described in this way; “That
which I give thought to I begin to attract. That which
I give thought to, with emotion, I attract more quickly as there
is power and speed when emotions are applied to your thoughts.”
Once I have launched it by giving thought. And once I
have powerfully launched this combination of thought with emotion
it will manifest much faster. And remember if you expect
that which you gave thought to - you get it. The balance
of deliberate creation is to sided so to speak. On the
one hand is the emotionally applied thought for speed.
And on the other hand is the expectancy. The expectancy
is also known as the belief or the allowing. And so after
I have given thought to something my next step is to expect
it so it will be. This placed me in the perfect position
to receive the subject of my thoughts. So remember – “You
get what you think about whether you want it or not”.
Make sure your thoughts create that which you are wanting so
that you automatically avoid giving thought to those things
that you do not want. Your thoughts are very powerful and will
attract and manifest that which you give thought to. Thoughts
attract to themselves. And you attract them to you simply
by giving thought to them. As an example, when you feel
lonely, you attract more loneliness. When you feel poor
you attract poverty. When you feel sick you attract more
sickness. When you feel unhappy you attract more unhappiness.
When you feel healthy and vital and alive and prosperous you
attract more of those things. The way that you feel is
your point of attraction. So, the law of attraction is
best understood when see yourself like a magnet getting more
and more and more in the way you feel. It is easier to
see these laws at work as an observer looking at those who are
personally experiencing them. And as an observer
you will see that those who seek prosperity – have it.
Those who seek health – have it. And those who seek
sickness – have it. For these are the universal
laws at work. It can be no other way. What you seek
– you find. It is the law.
Who Is The Teacher?
We, the Abraham group, are teachers and have been for a very
long time. And in all of our experiences in teaching we
have learned and come to know this single most important fact,
“Words do not teach. It is Life’s experiences
that bring you the clarity of knowing.” And so we
encourage you, as you hear our words, to reflect into your own
life’s experiences and remember those things and events
you have experienced before. And also to begin watching
from this point forward for the absolute correlation between
the words you are hearing here and the life’s experiences
that you are living. For it is our knowing that there
is not a shred of evidence that exist anywhere in your universe,
indeed anywhere in your physical experience in the contrary
to what we have just expressed above. And when you begin
to notice that you are getting are the manifestations of what
you are thinking about, then and only then, will you begin to
pay careful attention to, and in fact, to deliberately control
your thoughts.
Controlling Your Thoughts
Controlling your thoughts is not an easy thing to do, but it
is a possible thing. Controlling your thoughts becomes easier
as you are making the decision and commitment to do it. Remember
that the majority of the reason you think about things you do
not want is because you do not understand how detrimental this
process is to your life’s experience. And
once you have recognize that “Thinking of what you do
not want only attracts it into your life’s experience”
you will begin to pay more careful attention to what you give
thought to. For those of you who do not want those negative
experiences and for those who do want the positive experiences
controlling your thoughts will not be a difficult thing because
your desire to change will be so strong.
You may have noticed already from your own experiences that
monitoring your thoughts is not an easy thing to do. However,
it is a possible thing to do. But it takes great attention and
great discipline. In some ways monitoring your thoughts
can be too cumbersome because while you are monitoring your
thought you do not have time to think them.
Communication Through Feelings & Emotions
So, allow us to share with you an effective alterative.
First, know that “You are more than you see in your physical
bodies”. There is an “Inner” part of you that
exist, even now while you are physical. Most do not understand
this. Very few individuals’ belief and are aware
that there was life before this physical life experience.
Some believe and hope that there will be something beyond this
physical life experience. But the simple fact of this
matter is that there are very few who understand the overall
spiritual picture. Know that even though you are
a physical being and focus your thought through this physical
apparatus we call a body there is simultaneous broader, wiser,
and older part of you that exist now, at the same time.
And this part of you we call your “Inner Being”
communicates with you without exception. This communication
takes many different forms. It may come in the form of clear
vivid thought, an audio spoke word, but in every case it comes
to you in the form of emotions. Before you merged into
this physical body you set forth an agreement that while you
were focused within this physical body this line of communication
would exist. And it was agreed that it would be a feeling.
A feeling that could not be missed. Rather than a stimulation
of thought or something else that could be missed. Know that
while you are thinking a thought you do not always receive a
thought, which is being offered. Just as you would be
thinking or deep in thought you sometimes do not hear what someone
is speaking to you when standing in the same room with you.
And so the use of feelings and emotion are a excellent form
for communication.
There are really only two emotions. One feels good and
the other feels bad. And it was agreed that the good feeling
would be offered when you were speaking, thinking, or acting
in harmony with what you are wanting. And it was agreed
that the bad feeling would be offered when you were speaking,
thinking, or acting in a directions that is not in harmony with
your intentions.
And so what we are wanting you to understand is that it is not
necessary to constantly monitor your thoughts but rather simply
to be sensitive to and aware of the way that you are feeling
in the moment. And note the times when you feel negative
emotions (that bad feeling within your stomach) and recognize
that you are in the moment of “Miscreating” and
should take an action to move back into a positive direction.
Being aware of negative feelings communicated to you within
the moment allows you to know that you are attracting something
that you do not want into your life’s experience.
Creating is the attraction process. When you think a thought
you attract the subject of that thought. And this process is
called creating. Your Inner communication agreement provides
you to immediately compass needle that indicates the direction
of good or bad creativity. Learn to listen and use this wonderful
system of communication with your Inner Being.
Law Of Allowing
Now with a clear awareness and picture of the laws of attraction
and deliberate creation, let’s take a closer look at the
law of allowing. The law of allowing cannot be understood and
applied correctly until you understand and apply the laws of
attraction and deliberate creation correctly. It is not
possible for you to be allowing of others until you understand
that what they do and what they say need not effect you.
Know that your feelings, the feelings that come from the very
core of your Inner Being of self-preservation, are so very powerful.
Remember this Inner Being self-preservation system has a prime
directive to preserve you therefore it will not and cannot allow
another who threaten you. You are the controller of your
own experiences. Your are the only one who thinks within
your body therefore you are the authority within your body.
And therefore only you have complete autonomy over yourself
and your life’s experiences.
Total Freedom
The law of allowing, which states “I am that which I am
and I am willing to allow all others to be that which they are”,
is the law that leads you to total freedom. Freedom from
any experience that you do not want. And freedom from
any negative response to any experience that you do not approve
of. When we say “It is good to be an allower”
or “you have come forth to learn to be an allower”
don’t misunderstand what we mean by that. So you
think that allowing means that you must tolerate. You
will be that which you are, which by your standards is that
which is appropriate, and you will let everyone else that that
which they want to be, even if you do not like it. And
if you see them being that you will feel negative about it.
And you will feel sorry for them and you will even guilty for
yourself. But, nevertheless, you will let them be, in
a tolerate fashion. And we say, “When you are tolerating,
you are not allowing but rather tolerating. Tolerating
and allowing are two different things. One who tolerates
is feeling negative emotions. The one who is the allower
is not feeling negative emotions. And this is the difference
between the two. For it is the absence of negative emotions
that builds freedom.
The Allower
You cannot experience freedom when you have negative emotions
or feelings. For it is the negative emotions that binds
you. And so an allower is one who has understood the law
of attraction. An allower is one who knows how to get
what to get. An Allower knows how to deliberately create
in his own experience. Allower is one who does
not give his attention, look at, or listen to; he does not look
for, or listen for those things that he does not want toexperience.
He has learned to take his eyes from that which he does not
want to draw into his experience. He is one who understands
that everyone is the creator of his own experiences. He is one
who lets everybody be the creator that they have intended to
be. He is one who is glorious in own creating and who
is willing to allow others to have the glory of their own creations.
Many would say, “Abraham, you mean I should put my head
into the sand… I should not look and see those who
are having trouble… I should not look for an opportunity
where I may be of assistance to them… And we say,
“If you are intending to be of assistance then your eye
is not upon the trouble but rather upon the assistance.
And that is quit different. When you are looking for solutions
you are feeling positive emotions. When you are looking
at the problem or problems you are feeling negative emotions.
And so you can be of great assistance to others, as you see
that they are wanting to be. And you are listening to
what they are wanting to have through their own words and attentions
to it. But as you see one who is down in his luck, as
you see one who has great poverty or illness and as you speak
with them in pity and sympathy about that which they do not
want you will feel the negative emotions of it because you are
a contributor to this experience. And as you talk to others
about what you know they do not want you assist them in miscreating.
And you will feel negative emotions as it happens. Negative
emotions that require sorrow, sympathy, or pity.
One who is an allower is willing to let the one who chooses
illness - chose it, have it, and experience it. An allower
is one who is willing to let the one who chooses poverty –
chose it, have it, and experience it. But remember even
though you are being an allower you can also be an uplifter,
as well. That does not mean that you cannot uplift them
to having something better. But we say to you, you will
not afflict them through your words of sorrow. You will
not uplift them through your recognition that what they have
is not what they want. You will uplift them by being something
different yourself. You will uplift them through the power
and clarity of your own personal example. For as you are helping
you will stimulate their wanting for help. As you are
prosperous you may stimulate wanting for prosperity. Let
your example uplift them. Let your words uplift them.
Let what is in your heart uplift them. You will uplift
them when what is in your heart feels good to you. You
will depress them or add unto their negative creating when what
is in your heart makes you feel bad. That is how you know
the difference.
Achieving Allowing
You will know when you have achieved allowing. When you are
willing to allow another even in their not allowing of you.
When you are able to be that which you are even when the others
do not approve. Even when they do not allow you or approve
of what you are, you are able to still be that and not feel
negative emotions to words they talk about you. You will know
that you are an allower when you can look into this world and
feel joy all of the time. You will know when you are an allower
when you are able to see joy in every experience. You
will know when you are an allower when you are able to know
which experiences contain joy and which ones do not. And
you have the discipline to participate only where there is joy.
As you may have already discovered through the words that we
have offered above the difference between positive and negative
emotions can sometimes be a very subtle difference. Just
as the difference between wanting and needing is a very subtle
difference. When you are focusing upon what you
want, your Inner Being offers you positive emotions. When you
are focusing upon what you need, your Inner Being offers you
negative emotions. Negative emotions are produced because
you are not focused upon what you are wanting instead you are
focused upon the lack of what you are wanting. And your Inner
Being knows that what you give thought to, is that which you
attract. Your Inner Being knows that you do not want the
lack. You Inner Being knows what you want. And you
Inner Being is offering you guidance so that you will know.
Focusing upon the solution brings forth and makes you feel positive
emotions. Focusing upon the problem makes you feel negative
emotions. And so you see while the difference are subtle they
are very important differences. For when you feel positive
emotions you are attracting into your life’s experiences
that which you want. When you feel negative emotions you
are attraction into your life’s experiences what you do
not want. And so as you are interacting with your friends,
or even those you do not know very well, and you are noticing
that which makes you feel negative emotions, you are miscreating.
And so we might say that an allower is one who has learned the
law creating and had reached the position where he does not
miscreate. He creates deliberately and intentionally and joyfully.
You see contentment comes from only one place. It comes
only from wanting. And them allowing. And then receiving.
And so as you are moving through this experience of physical
life and you are giving more and more thought to what you are
wanting and holding your thoughts in the direction of what is
wanted, and letting the powerful law of attraction work for
you bringing more and more of the events and circumstances and
other being who are compatible with you, into your experience,
them you will find your life spiraling upward to joy and freedom.
We are offering this presentation for the benefit of those who
are reading it. We are wanting you to understand that
while tolerance may seem to be an advantage to the other.
In other words, they do something that you do not want them
to do yet you allow it. You do not restrain them. You
do not criticize them. You let them be. That may be an
advantage to the other because you are not hindering them from
what they are wanting to do. But tolerance is not an advantage
to you because while you are being tolerant you are still feeling
negative emotions. And therefore you are not free but
rather bound by the negativity you feel. Becoming an allower
is an advantage to you because as you are an allower you are
free from negativity. And you are an experiencer of joy.
