Success Clue
The way to understand Death is to learn more about it and know
there is nothing to fear about it. You will learn that
spiritual energy connects all of life together whether in the
present of a physical body or its absence. Death of the
physical body does not mean death of the mind and spirit.
Most organized religions however cover up or hide this truth.
When you study Near Death Experiences (NDE) you will come to
know this truth. Did you know that there are over 8,000,000
NDE recorded each year. A Near Death Experience is the
death of physical body of an individual who's spirit passed
over into the spiritual dimension and returned to tell his or
her experience. It is amazing how all the stories shared
or told say the same things. Decide for yourself but enjoy
the material. Kobayashi Maru Scenario
This Space flight simulator's performance program is designed
to test human character reactions when placed into a given no
win situation. The scenario presents a sequenced series of events
and the ship's commander must make the best decision and take
correct actions based upon those confrontations.
This intriguing set of circumstances and corrective command
ship actions comes to us from the 1982 motion picture released
by Paramount called; "Star Trek 2: The Wrath Of
Khan".
The Kobayshi Maru is a scenario designed to evaluate one’s
individual character and/or behavioral development. The scenario
places you in a no win situation and makes you deal with finding
resolutions. One can think that he failed it, but there is no
correct resolution. There is no way to win. It is a test of
character. The Kobayashi Maru Scenario is not designed as a
fair test of one's ability to command and make command decisions,
but rather to expose the other side of life. It teaches the
trainee how to deal with death situations. How you deal with
death is as important as how you deal with life. Everyone will,
at some time, have to face and experience death.
Flight simulators are great training aids that teach pilots
how to fly without actually placing the pilot in actual flight.
Without leaving the ground, the pilot experiences the flight
characteristics of his aircraft. They are very sophisticated
pieces of equipment with audio, visual, and movement sense-a-round
effects. Also, they cut the operational cost factor by approximately
75%. They have the advantage of stopping at or during any portion
of the training mission to evaluate performance of any crew
member. This unique ability maximizes and shortens the learning
process and rate of each individual crew member. We learn by
reading, by writing, and by teaching. But almost all learn by
doing. The simulator is the closest piece of equipment that
emulates the actual process of doing.
How well one responds in or under the pressure to a real situation,
as within all living things or biological systems, according
to the individual's genetic gifts. Each individual has one best
destiny. Development of all those skill levels centering around
that one best destiny allows one to become even more talented
than what anyone else could ever had expected.
As you will learn it is extremely important to make fast, accurate,
and concise decisions in the actual command situation. The requirements
that combat places upon the individual, whether a pilot or a
Motocross racer, gets more intense with every passing year as
innovative and sophisticated developments of equipment when
introduced and incorporated into the industry. Needs
In the movie there is a decision prime directive that states,
"The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the
few or the one". Yet, in a sequel movie a counter
command statement is made directly to Spock; "The
needs of the one or the few out weigh the needs of the many".
Where the needs lie depends upon the individual making the decision
and the conditions confronting him. There are always more than
one or two choices. There are always possibilities in making
a choice. The more you know, the better choices you can make.
Improvements in making command choices comes with the experiences
learned by actually doing and performing, and by logically and
systematically following the experiences learned in the classroom.
The classroom prepares you for the range and race track. The
skill is learned in the classroom and then practiced on the
range or race track.
It is a matter of cosmic history that it has always been easier
to destroy than to create or build. It takes a lot longer to
build and so before committing to destroying something or burning
a bridge behind you, consider the time involved in repair or
rebuild. Sometimes the pathway is irreversibly broken or irreconcilably
changed by a poorly thought out process or foolish re-action.
Having, on hand, a well thought out multiple selection of corrective
courses of actions is one of the best plans to incorporate.
Being prepared for the unexpected and knowing to expect it always
gives you an edge. Planning out the unexpected before it happens
always gives you the best options to choose at the moment of
decision.
When in doubt of any situation do not take any unnecessary chances
or risks. If the consequences of the risks out weight the benefits
your decision becomes more critical. If the risk involves more
than one, share the risk with them. Remember, it's your rules,
if you do not like the conditions of the contest, change them.
Ingenuity, cleverness, and original thinking are the doorways
through the necessity of combat. Learn to improvise, adaptive,
overcome, and be creative. If you learn why and how things work
you can always use that knowledge to defeat your opponent. Knowledge
used to your advantage, in itself, is the advantage. Knowledge
is potential power. Applied knowledge becomes power.
Everyone has his own solution to the Kobayashi Maru Scenario
and that solution can change as the circumstances surrounding
the incident change. With every ending comes a new beginning
and so the normal life and death cycle continues. One life ends,
another begins.
You can't take the physical with you into the next dimension,
just the acquisition of the acquired knowledge during your stay.
New life always takes place in the shadow of death for those
who know the direction. What does this mean? In raci41 most
stop when they reach the top. So, once they become #1 they stop
looking up and began to look down. Why not - they're at the
top and everyone knows that from there the only way is down.
Once this attitude happens they begin go down hill in their
thinking and make the descent back to everyone else. That's
why they can't hold onto their titles more than the first time.
Remember the old saying; 'It's easier to obtain it than to hold
on to it." That's the reason why they can't hold on to
it. The great student knows that when you reach the top there
are always still more steps to climb. You can always climb higher.
And there are times when that light deep inside you, guides
you, to what can't be found.
Feeling. What are you feeling? Feeling old and worn out or feeling
young as when the world was new are but some of your choices.
Nevertheless, it is your choice. How you feel is how you chose
it. As in the statement in the beginning of the story; "It
was the best of times, it was the worst of times Emotions are
not selective nor one sided when they surround you. They come
at you from all sides and angles. You can act or react, the
directional choice is yours. Learn your lessons well and benefit
from that knowledge.
Next, I would like to tell you a story about two friends of
mine who loved to ride and race motocross - just life the rest
of us - and some of the hardships they had to over come.
Their names is Donny & John. Donny Schmit
I met Donny Schmit on the raci41 circuit in 1986 at Lake Sugar
Tree through Billy Liles. Donny was a very likeable kind of
a guy and we became good friends almost immediately. We
both always had a good time and together we had even more fun.
In raci41 it is always hard to tell which way your luck will
go that day but after each race he always had a smile on his
face and was glad just to be a part of it all. He never
had to say it but you always knew it just by looking at him.
As a Pro rider he did very well and I never talked to anyone
who ever said anything bad or spoke of him in a negative way.
And that is an accomplishment just in its self.
A few years later Donny went to Europe and started raci41
there having even better success that the States. It
was if he had found himself and where he fitted in, in raci41.
And just like in the States the European riders took to him
equally as well. His abilities and raci41 skill levels
continued to grow and develop as did his performances and
recognition. And just when it seemed like he was making
it he died of a rare blood disorder while raci41 in Europe.
I remember Donny saying that he loved raci41 and didn't want
to ever do anywhere else. It was what he really loved to do.
And if he was going to die, let it be at something he loved
to do, like raci41. I agreed and we both smiled.
No one is ever really ready to truly say good bye because
you know they are still on the same plaint and you will see
them again some day. But when that is taken way from you,
you may find yourself regretting not making more of the moment.
We always laughed when I would say, "Remember, seize
the moment". And we did! Now, I remember
all of those good times and warm memories. How could
you not miss a great friend and buddy like Donny?
A Tribute To John , My Friend
I would like to share with you a story about one of my good
friends. Much like most of us he started riding at the early
age. But that same year, 1986, was a hard year for him. Shortly
following the time when he had just started to ride he developed
a crippling hip disease which required him to stop riding
all together. As the disease advanced he had to wear hip-leg
braces. Needless to say he was unable to participate in any
sports except swimming where the braces were not required.
He had always wanted to race motorcycle, even as a younger
boy and kept motocross hero’s hung up all around his
room. Even at an earlier age John had acquired a well developed
positive mental attitude from his parents. He only focused
on those things he really wanted to do. He never let small
distractions like hip-leg diseases distract or discourage
him from his goals of raci41 motocross. Two years later while
looking for a place to begin riding his new four wheeler,
his father and he passed a MX track. They stopped to watch.
John saw other boys his own age raci41 and knew immediately
that he wanted to join them. His hearts desire had always
been set on raci41 and now he knew where a track was. Within
a week John had his four wheeler on the race track where he
joined his newly found friends at Camp Coker, South Carolina.
In his first race John finished last but, as you might have
expected by now to find in his attitude, he was not discouraged
in the least.
For the next two years John raced four wheelers. He started
his first season’s race by finishing last. But by the
time the season was over he had moved into a well respected
second place. His second year on four wheelers was less challenging
due to the lack of competition so John decided to made the
jump to two wheels.
By the end of his first raci41 season he has earned a honorable
5th place in the 85cc 7-13 year old group. He excelled in
his ability to ride a bike and his raci41 record showed it.
At Axton, VA the day before the National MX race, he finished
second in his class. And he finished second in both the junior
and senior mini winter series in N.A.M.E. He moved into the
number one spot in N.A.M.E’ s spring series winning
most of the races in both classes.
John was in an off road accident last week while having a
fun ride. His 125cc bike was hit by a four wheeler. The accident
was not related to raci41 in any way and John was in full
raci41 gear. The accident happened without warning and was
unavoidable. He died on the way to the hospital. John was
13.
In the past I have found that the motocross news medias does
not want to talk about or report on these types of problems,
yet they should. I have always found that to talk about and
understand a problem allows the individuals to deal with and
conquer it. I am very thankful to Tex-MX for allowing me this
opportunity to bring John’s story to you.
In talking to John’s parents I found a willingness to
share and openly talk about John and their family's closeness.
They told me that John was a positive young man who had always
took time out from each race to compliment his friends on
how well they rode. He loved to do all the things young kids
now a days like to do, such as, playing video games, watching
M TV, and even roller skating. His mother told me the John
was doing what he loved the most when it came his time. Although
both his mother and father will miss him very much, they told
me that as a family they always seized the moment to share
each day together. Through the week they would do a lot of
activities together, talk about what happened that day, what
was bothering them, and would tell those funny stories at
the dinner that would always made you laugh even with your
mouth full.
On the weekends you could always fine the family out somewhere
doing something together or at a race track with their friends.
Camp Coker had a benefit race for John and his family. It
was one of the largest races of the season attended by all
of John’s and his parent’s friends. It is always
nice to be surrounded by those who love you during life’s
difficult times. Some how this closeness makes those early
moments less painful.
I have hear it said to know a man you must first walk a mile
in his shoes. If you love to ride them you too knew John.
And like all of John’s friends that I talked with, I
too am glad I have the opportunity to know him. I will miss
him.
Spiritual Awareness
As you study NDE's you will learn that you are not a body
but rather a spirit. Body's grow old and become sick
and diseased. If you believe that you are a body, you
too will grow old and become sick and diseased. Spirits, on
the other hand, are eternal and never grow old or become sick
or diseased. It is just impossible. Learning about your
true self or your true identify is called the study of spiritually.
Physical Death is a connective process not a disconnective
one as you may have been lead to believe. To learn more about
spiritually read our section on Spiritually
And Spiritual Awareness.
Near Death Experiences (NDE)
Also you can learn about the actual process of death, or dropping
your body, may I suggest the following material. They
are actual accounts of people dieing and returning from death
to tell what happens and who to expect.
