How To Start Out Being Successful

I get asked all the time by many young riders, "How can I be successful at racing? How can I win races, championships, and even a National or World Class title? What do I do? I don’t know anything about success or even where to start looking. Can you help me?

Your success lesson starts out by taking the first step of wanting to learn about success. And then - just start doing it. I have always found that learning and practice success habits to be just as exciting as learning about and practicing riding my bike. Especially when the rewards of the great success habits start winning events and earning incomes for you to ride even more. Learning and applying what you have learned, whether about riding and raci41 bikes or just practicing success habits is a lot of fun. But when you combine them together you will experience the a rush like no other. It is and always has been tremendously exciting. I love combining them. So, let’s get started but remember we are going to keep it very simple. So, do not expect anything complicated or confusing. Great Success does not work that way. And whenever in doubt - do the simpler plan.

Duplication Of Successful People
One of the simplest and best places to start is just to watch other successful people doing what you want to become good at doing. Now remember in watching them you will have to duplicate their processes. This means that you will have to learn to think and act just like they do. This also means that you will have to let go of your old way of thinking and start this new way of thinking better. So you are going to be required to change and continually upgrade your thinking and your beliefs. This continual upgrading is expected of you if you are going to become successful at what you are wanting.

So, when you start looking to other’s successes this process of "Thinking Better" and upgrading your "Belief System" will also start. And, like so many before you, you will immediately feel empowered and excited by these advanced mental skill level. But if this upgrading educational process does not happen to you, your chances of becoming a successful champion are slim or next to none. So remember the answer to this question, "How do you change your beliefs and your belief system?  May I suggest that you start off reading another chapter called Creating Your Future - 2

Your Thoughts Are Like Magnets
All success processes have one thing in common.  They all can be traced back to the applied thought process. That is to say that all forms of success are only the end-results of something that you knowingly or unknowingly mentally thought about and directed, caused, or provoked. Your thoughts are like magnets in that they attract to you that which you are thinking about. And these very powerful magnetic thoughts automatically attract to you are thinking - to you. As you give thought to what it is that you wanting your thought's magnetic like properties reaches out into the universe and attracts other like thoughts and brings them back to you. Other like thoughts such as circumstances, events, and other beings and other creations who are wanting what you wanting and they are all then brought together. In short, you will be getting what you are thinking about whether you are wanting it or not. Your magnetic thoughts choose the direction and they attract those like things back to you.

This magnetic attraction of thoughts doesn‘t stop to think or question whether you want them or not, but rather offers them to you in their entirety. And its magnetic thought attraction process works each and everytime whether you are aware of it or not. Yes, it even works in your ignorance of it. Think a though and it starts coming to you. It's that simple. In affect all of success is a thought "Cause and Effect" process.  What you are getting ready to experience comes to you through the manifestation of what you have given thought to and directed into physical form. Let's next take a look at how the impute of ideas that go into believes get their start.

As you give thought to things the magic of this wonderful magnetic attraction process automatically begins to work. These thoughts can come from other people or sources such as your friends, an authority, a doctor, clergy, TV, radio, or even from your readings.  But, never the less this magnetic thought attractive process will be activated. The thoughts of others or your are processed into your mind and go directly into your conscious mind, your unconscious mind, and even into your subliminally automatic function processes. As you might imagine here is where unwanted and unacceptable thoughts and ideas can get their start.  Let's take a closer look.

Automatic Behavior & Responses
If you are a non-thinker then you will process most things into your mind's automatic response system. Allow me to give you an example.  If I were to ask you, "How are you doing"? The automatic response is "Fine" or something along those lines.  But if I were to ask you, "Are you well today"? You will probably not have an automatic response so the question will require you to think.  When you do this you will feel a momentary empowerment from your thinking process and then you will answer.

If you are not in the position to think about what is being asked or said then your thought process will not go any further.  However if you are in a position to think about these thoughts the magnetic effect goes to work for you. If you are thinking about something in your present, perhaps something you want or do not want, you will find yourself attracting those who are think similarly. 

Your thoughts can begin to grow larger and larger and can begin to reach into your past experiences. And sometimes these thoughts even project a past positive or negative emotional experience into your future by thinking about them. These magnetic attractions continues run their course by bringing more and more conversation, more and more evidence, more and more circumstances, and more and more events that perpetuate these thoughts, whether positive or negative. It works just as well with either positive or negative thoughts. However it is the wise individual who projects only positive thoughts. I will get more into the adverse effects of conscious and unconscious negative thinking in the next chapter. But for now let’s discuss emotions and how they effect your thought's magnetic process for success.

Here We Go
One – Two – Three. That’s how elementary – it’s going to be. Come on now, it’s easy. So easy. Just like taking candy from a baby. This is going to be Fun. And we’ll always try to keep it simple.

Do you know that there are six very simple and easy steps to create a new belief and manifest anything that you are wanting? The Six Mental Steps to Deliberate Creation are:
1. Take a moment to "Feel Good" before your start
2. Write it down (In present tense & keep it in front of you)
     3. Say it Out Loud (at least 10 times each day)
4. See it (as if it is happening right now)
5. Take action and act on it.
6. Expect it.

Remember this six-step method is very simple so keep it that way.  Let's discuss these Six-Steps of Deliberate Creation.

Step-One
1. The first step is to Feel Good
Always prepare yourself with positive emotions before getting started on any new or current projects.  Why do we do this prep work first? Emotions act like an enzymatic catalytic reaction speeds up the manifestation when placed into and mixed with your thoughts.  They are like the gun powder that fires the bullet.  The more gun powder you have to fire the bullet the faster and further it will go.  And the same is true about manifesting your dreams, goals, or wantings.  This emotional process is used to spark each step each time you do them.  Collecting, surrounding, and totally encompassing yourself with happiness and fun filled positive memories of some past joyous events is the prep work that must be accomplished before you start or take your first step or any step in the below guidelines.  Feelings of happiness, fun, excitement, pleasure, and enthusiasm or any other positive emotions are the essential essence in pre-paving the needed and necessary emotional atmosphere that totally saturates you before you start any one of the six steps below. 

Remember to carry these wonderful and very powerful emotions with you and place them into each and all steps each time you do each step.  Everytime your feel good, write, say, see, act-on, and expect anything that you are wanting - it must be done with these very strong and powerful positive emotional gun powder.  Remember that the stronger the collection of emotions - the faster your manifestation. And remember to feel them as if they were actually happening "Right Now".  Re-experiencing these positive emotions should take you into a very strong emotional state of feeling very good.  And that is what you are looking for before you take each step. Re-experiencing any collection of Strong - Powerful - Positive "Emotions" is the secret behind any manifestation of your "Deliberate Creations".

Step-Two
2. The Second Step is to WRITE-IT
Proclaim your new beliefs or wants by writing them down. Write them in present tense as if they have already manifested. Make sure they are positive. Writing your new beliefs and goals down and create a mental image or picture. Once you see that picture or image, you’ll start to believe them. And once you believe it, you’ll have it. And it will be created for you.

Next, write these new beliefs or goals on index cards, post-its, or anything that you can take with you. And hang them up on you bathroom mirror, kitchen walls, bedroom ceiling above your bed, at your study and work desks, and your car’s sunvisor. Basically, the process is to hang them everywhere and anywhere you can think of to always remind you of these new beliefs and goals.

Here’s an example of an written statement
"I am in total control of my body and by bike. I control how I now think, act, ride, and race. Therefore I control all aspects of my raci41. I control all of my thoughts so my bike is an exact extension of my body’s movements. I study and learn at least 30 minutes a day. And I practice at least 30 minutes a day. I control what I put into my mind, so my thoughts are positive and creative towards my raci41 and my championships. I control who I associate with, so I surround myself with only positive, creative, successful, and supportive people. I control what I do, so my riding and raci41 time is happy and productive.  I am happy.  I am health.  I am a winner. And I am successful at what ever I do."  

Now that you have read an example of Step-Two, stop and write out your new beliefs or goals - now. You may use the above example at first or create your own. There no right or wrong way, only what you think is best for you. And remember it’s your life, your wins, your championships, and your goals and successes. That’s what is at risk here. So do it now. Remember to collect, re-experience, and totally get rapped up in and feel your collection of "Strong - Powerful - Positive Emotions" before starting any and all Six Steps. Remember to do this each time you do and of these steps.

Step-Three
3. The Third Step is to SAY-IT
Now it’s time to SAY-IT out loud. Saying them out loud is a very powerful tool. You talk to yourself all the time but do you pay attention to what you say? Do you say, "I’m so stupid, why did I do that’ or, "That’s not like me, I can do better?" Do you tell yourself "I’m great," or, "I’m an idiot"? What you tell yourself and believe is what you become. You move in the direction of your most currently dominating thoughts of the moment. We call this moment the "Now". The Now is where all the power to have what you want is located. Do you say, "I’m in control of my life" or "I’ll never be able to do it. It’s too hard?" Or "I can’t do that. "If you tell yourself you’re in control, then you’ll be in control. If you tell yourself something is too hard, then it will be too hard for you, and you’ll fail. If you find it difficult to make the transfer from "I can’t" to "I can" simply add the word "Yet" behind the word "I can’t" so it now reads "I can’t, yet." This verbal expression allows the mind to successfully make the transformation to "I can".

Say your new beliefs out loud, with feeling, at least ten times a day — while you’re driving, exercising, showering, or when or wherever you are and think of them. The more you say them, and the more positive emotion you place into your spoken words, the faster you’ll believe and the faster you will manifest what every it is that you are wanting. And once you believe then, you’ll own them. And them learn to see them, act-on them, and then just expect them.

So now say your new beliefs and goals out loud three times each time you read them or think of them. Do It Now.

How did that make you feel? If you felt a little awkward because you don’t believe them yet, don’t worry about it. It will be OK.  If you say them out loud over and over again and again with strong positive emotions, your new beliefs or goals will become a permanent part of you.

Step-Four
4. The Fourth Step is to SEE-IT
Now it is time to VISUALIZE-IT. What you see is what you get. Visualization is one of the major ways for creating an empowering belief or goal and getting what you want.

Visualization creates a vivid and exact picture of your new beliefs and goals. Learn to use and create things with your imagination. And you will learn that your imagination rules your world. What you imagine happening is what does happen. What you can conceive - you can achieve. People have been saying this quote throughout history. And it’s true! Just try it...

Step-Five
5. The fifth step is to "Take-Action"

All of life grows from seeds.  Seeds create all life forms in the physical world if, and only if, they are planted.  Without being planted seeds cannot grow.  Remember that unplanted seeds grow nothing.  Seeds has the potential to grow whatever they have been programmed to do.  But if they remain unplanted they will not grow. And so there will be no harvest.

Let's look at this in another way.  Knowledge by itself is not enough.  It has to be planted to grow.  And so it is that you must act on and take an action to make your goals happen.  All of your power to make this happen is in the present time.  We call this present time the "NOW"...  By acting on it NOW (your own personal power) and placing it into action, activates the growing process within it, just like the seeds. So, your personal power is to take an action, set it into motion ,and be the driving force behind it.  

Step-Six
6. The sixth step is to "Expect-It"

Your final step is to simply expect it.  By expecting it you mind, through the creative processes behind though energy, materializes what you are wanting into the physical form.  We know this process as the act of manifestation.  You may be familiar with the old biblical saying "I think, therefore I am. This saying means that your thoughts created you. All physical form came from the seeds of thoughts.  Thoughts, then create all physical things and life forms. We were given this wonderful gift of thought creation to create our own life experiences.  The above sit steps are how you can apply this wonderful gift of creation to all of those things that you are wanting.   

Exercising
This simple "Six-Step" process is a mental training exercise. And just like exercising your body, you mind too will also grow, develop, become stronger, and evolve. And just like your muscles, it takes about three to four weeks to really be able to see a difference in your mind’s newly developed skills and abilities.

Known Facts About Successful Athletes
When you use and direct your imagination in a positive way, you will anticipate and expect success. Did you know that winners expect to win? In fact they expect to win in advance. The top athletes mentally train themselves to see the end process or end-results of their events, and then envision themselves as winners through the process of imagination. And then they replay this envisioned winning scene over and over again in their minds as they begin to live and experience this scene. In other words they watch themselves win over and over, again and again until their practice and performance exactly match up. These daily "Mental Practice Rehearsals" scenes advance to becoming actual practice sessions and then advance on again to become the actual event. So what’s happening is this.
1. They see themselves winning.
2. They believe they can win.
3. They expect to win.
4. And they win.

Imagination
How important is your imagination? Let me put it to you this way, "What you truly imagine yourself to be is what you will become." Do you like apples? How do you like these apples?

The Growing Process
Now, let me ask you this question. What should you expect as you get started and continue to practice? At first you may find it hard to believe in your imagination or even that it could create what you are wanting. But don’t let that stop you - take the steps. Keep seeing yourself there as if it has already happened. Do this over and over in your mind until you believe it. And once you believe it, then expect it to happen. And it will come to you and you will own it.

Visual Imagination Exercise
In closing allow me to leave you with this simple four part imagination guideline.
1. Imagine yourself living your new beliefs or goals.
2. See yourself already there as if it has already happened.
3. Visualize yourself as the champion you want to become as if
    you are already.
4. Create pictures of yourself already being that champion. If you
    are not there yet, take a picture of yourself, cut out your face,
    and put it on a picture of the one who is.

Success Clue
Allow me to leave you with this wonderful success clue. Everyone, at the subconscious level, knows what is good and what is bad for them. Most know that their bad actions are a misdirection and are not good for them, yet they do them anyway. Champions know the difference and always choose the right way.

Summary
Always remember that your thoughts are like magnets and will attract unto you that which you have or are thinking about whether your truly want them or not. It does not matter that these thoughts are good or bad as one of the prime directives of your unconscious mind is to manifest that which you give thought to with question and without judgment.

The Problem
Know that the majority of the reason why you think about things you do not want is because you do not understand or have not yet learned how detrimental this process is to the deliberate creation of unwanted manifested experiences into your own life.

Focus
Your mental focus becomes your reality. So know that when you are focusing upon that which you are Wanting, your unconscious mind will manifest it in a positive way. But when you are focusing upon that which you Need (a lack of) or are tolerating, your Unconscious Mind will manifest this in a negative way.

The Solution
Become the individual who does not give thought to, pay attention to, look at, look for, or listen to those things that he or she does not want. When you learn that by giving thought to things that you do not want, they are drawn unto you and become a part of your own life’s experiences instead of that which you are truly wanting. Become the one who understand that everyone and everybody are the creators of his or her own life’s experiences. Become the one who lets others be the creator of that which they are thinking about and/or wanting. Become the one who is glorious in his or her own creations and is willing to allow others to have the glory of their creations, as well. Remember to rejoice and feel glad for what you have created and for the creations of others, whether they were good or bad.

Your Yellow Brick Road
Whatever you can visualize - you can achieve. Remember to only allow your mind to dwell on that which you are wanting and nothing else. And, at the same time, avoid thinking or visualizing on those things that you are not wanting. Know that it takes time to plant, grow, and harvest you’re empowering new creative beliefs and goals. You will discover, as you apply these six wonderful steps, that you are becoming all of those things you never knew you always wanted to become. And it will produce a extremely good wonderful emotional feeling.
